Larry,
Could you tell us the history of the car?

73 GTO's are hard to find!  Especially one that is not a basket case!

Mike, I had been looking for a 73 Lemans Sport Coupe for over 10 years or so when I came across this GTO on craigslist October of 2015. I had a 73 LSC black/black when I got married back in 1979. I bought this car from two brothers in Detroit whom had just purchased it from an estate auction about a month before. After several texts and photos later, my brother and I went to check it out in person. The car was too good to be true. Very good condition, solid, rust free, one repaint, black interior,  looks like the original vinyl top and carpeting and in a folder in the trunk was the build sheet, original window sticker, original bill of sale and a bunch of receipts.  A real God send.  The car started up and ran great until we drove it around the block and the motor threw a rod out the side of the oil pan. Bought the car anyway (at a substantial discount) and brought it home. It was built in Atlanta, Georgia and originally sold at Benton Pontiac in Cleveland, TN.

Looking good Larry, thanks for posting pictures.

I also found it easier to post a link to photobucket as I had way too many to post with mine

Update on my GTO: It's been running fine. I've put a little over 1000 miles on it so far.  We drove it from the St. Louis area to Springfield , Il. this past summer for the GTO nationals and had a great time. I've taken it to the track twice so far , feels great and pulls hard. Ran a best of 11.85 @ 116 mph.
