Hi Mike
I'm not that bothered but one with a display would be nice.
It looks like it needs to come from either the UK or EU because of postage charges.
Anyway, seasonal best wishes to you and your family and hope that your sacred QPR have a good result against Birmingham on Boxing Day.
Regards
Bryan

I am fresh out of spare Designers. Is your preference for a Designer or a Designer Display?

What an honour to have your old machine incorporated into a Garden Shed Special. You should be charging people for the privilege.

If Ismenio was here he would be asking for photographs of the whole operation and working drawings.

Merry Christmas and all the best in 2007

Hi, Sorry to correct you, but the first one you linked is
only a 2000, not a 2100.
The 2000 = Excellence
The 2100 = Par Excellence
Now I don't know if the Designer 2000 is the Excellence
4mhz, or the common 3mhz, probably the latter. And of
course, some of them are 'display' models and others not.
  I've got a Designer 2265 i bought as a bare board, and
it's got a problem, which I was aware of when I bought it.
The clock winds over at about 4 times the speed it should,
and the whole thing seems to gradually power down as the
game wears on. When a checkmate is imminent, sometimes
the whole thing freezes. When that happens I slide my hand over the circuit board and the game springs to life,
resetting itself for a new game. Anyone give me a clue as
to what the problem might be? A static buildup?
  Season's greetings to all

There are many variants of the designer (usually based on the strength of the program).  I don't have any of them myself to sell you but you can find them listed on eBay quite often.

Here is one of the 2100's right now and still cheap -

Here is of the 2000's and it is under a dollar with 3 days to go -

There is also a designer 1500 but I could not find one listed anywhere currently.

Not sure which one you want (or maybe you want them all) but good luck with your search.

Hi
I am looking for a Fidelity Designer for my next 'Garden Shed' project and was wondering if anyone would like to sell me one.
If you have a spare or unwanted Designer, then please contact me at  bryan.whitby@btinternet.com  with your price and postage cost.
A Merry Christmas to all of you.
