Everybody who maintains a chess computer site will from time to time be asked which is the best chess computer to buy. It is clear that there is no such thing as a "best chess computer to buy".
For the chess player who has 1000 Euro or so to spend and uses the computer at home, the choice will be very much different than for those who have a limited amount of cash or also want to use their computer on the train.
Still I can imagine that quite a few fathers would want to buy a chess computer for their son or daughter who shows more than average proficiency at the game. It would be nice to celebrate their offspring's talent with a pretty computer of hundreds of Euros, but not every parent has enough financial means for such generosity.
