Hello Chess-nut.

I'm glad you said this about the dots I thought it was just me. Yes I really am considering getting a Citrine though I already have about half a dozen or so chess computers. Is it possible to have too many chess computers? The phrase 'its a real pleasure to play with' really sells the idea of the Citrine to me.

Many thanks.

Peter.

I would consider the Citrine. It looks good.

Before the Citrine, I was put off the Exclusive Senator (which is also a wooden board) because of the dots on the squares. I am not sure I could concentrate with lots of dots everywhere. Does anyone else find this dots annoying when playing on the Senator or is just me?

Hi Peter,

I don't have the Senator, but I have the Novag Super Expert C.  It has the same dots at the corner.  I find it is busy and hard to concentrate.  I also have the Citrine, it is 10 times better!  No comparsion.  It is a real pleasure to play with.

Hope this help

I don't think its every company that would take this amount of trouble over one tiny chess piece. I am very impressed with Novag's customer support.

Peter.

So you can buy a Citrine

Hello.

I would just like to say that Novag have just written back to me and offered me a new set of pieces for FREE (slightly different design).

I don't think its every company that would take this amount of trouble over one tiny chess piece. I am very impressed with Novag's customer support.

Which piece is missing ?
If it's just one piece, you could perhaps write to Novag.

Hello

I am looking for a new set of pieces for my super VIP. Does anyone know if these can be bought new? There are the magnetic type. I thought of buying a Novag Solo or somthing similar just for the pieces but I would prefer to buy new.

The Novag board is really nice and its such a shame to have lost one piece.

Thanks for any help.

Peter.
