Smart bidders wait until right at the end and swoop in and try to pick it up for as little as possible.

I personally think it is something that eBay has to find a way to fix or address.  Maybe no bids allowed in the last hour except from those who have bid at least once in the previous 4 days or something.

Hello
Bids allowed in the last hour from those who have bid wouldn't change the fact that they would also bid within the last seconds.
Unfortunately this method might raise the final bids , so that would not be in our interest to get bargains.
Therefore I am against your idea

While $150 (=111 Euros) is acceptable, this is not a bargain either.
For the 42 sales of Super Constellation I have in my database, the average price is 105 Euros so a bit less.

The two last sales (April 2007) reached 65 and 84 euros (although another Super Constallation just before reached 143 Euros), and there is another Super Constellation for sale now :

So far = 60 Euros with Printer and Clock...

Best regards,
Alain

I wonder why there are no bids on the Super Connie for sale on eBay.  Even the "buy now" price of $150 seems very reasonable.
