Did you end up finding a US based repairman for Mephisto?  It would be good to know and make contact.

Hello Steve,
                    Yes, i can repair the unit for you. I did the same repair myself once before. It's second nature to me though, as i used to work in electronics/software environment !!

My Mephisto chess board is messed up. I found the ribbon connector has a tear in it. Does anyone know who can make repairs on  these? The people at Saitek can't do anything. They are going through some kind of a take over by Madcatz from what I've been told. I really miss my chess buddy.      Thanks,      Steve
