Hi Tom...thanks for the info....I believe I did check under the scratch pads..... on my chess board they are rubber.... and no screws were there. When I lift the board partially out of the case I can actually see the plastic clips but they are in a very awkward and difficult spot to get to and I can only visualize one or two of what I believe are three or four clips. I just would hate to start twisting and prying and crack/damage the case or board. I was really hoping for some one who has been there and done this to lend his expertise. Take care and thanks......

Hi all....I am hoping that some one on this site has had experience in opening the plastic case of the Saitek Kasparov/ Conquistador. I have taken all of the screws out of the case but it appears that there are internal plastic clips still holding the case together. The usual lifting moving and prying gently has been useless and I am certain I have all the screws removed. Any/ all help with this problem or any suggestions would be appreciated short of tossing it (wont do that) . Thanks in advance to all .......

With my chess computer, the Mephisto Atlanta, there is a hidden screw behind one of the four "feet"-covers which are  round and soft plastic discs, adhered to the bottom of the case.

You can't imagine how long I was searching for such an inner clip when I was about to open the device for the first tme. The nasty point with this hidden screw is that I can't feel it when touching the plastic disc. It took me time to find that out.

Perhaps there are plastic feet with your conquistador as well and if you carefully loosen one of them behind the other you'll find such a screw too?
