    Hi All

The Excellence Voice 6092 arrived yesterday. All new, pieces still in their plactic bags in the holding bay.

Manual with company offers and list of all model features sheet still pristine as with the manual that appears to have never been open.

Even the outer factory box for shipping with print out stickers indicating contents of Excellence was sent to me also.

Black and silver. I haven't tested yet. I've customized magnets to replace the pitiful chess pieces for Citrine. Used 3/16" rare earth magnets from radio shack and not ideal if you don't drill exactly in center. Have to shuffle a bit on some for beginning setup.
It seems the Citrine has some long term memory now with the new models. When turned off and disconnected and reconnected and turned on, still has move and position from previous. Chess house told me these were new boards from Novag. Boards has a plastic coating like finish but am getting used to.

No one has inquired in the the Voice, maybe people prefere to see on ebay first. I'm going to let ebay.de see the Excellence along with US.
Open to other board guys but might has to contact me directly via email out side of ebay at a fixed price.\

Reinventing the wheel.

The  couple who sold me the Excellence Voice on ebay may have got the model number wrong. The unit is most likey not a model 6062 but rather a model 6092.

: which has been spoken about on the board with pics in April 2008, I think.
Thanks to Christians' look into and it seems this model has been discussed after doing an archive search.

I have not recieved it in the mail yet. Its coming priority from Ok to Ca .

But the listing post states that it has never been opened.!!!

The wife who did the interacting thought it was a toy and nothing more. They had no idea that there were chess computers and forums that followed them till she did a search after selling.

ps
the link to the ebay is not to buy but to show how new this find is and that it has beens stated that is has not ever been opened by someone who doesn't see the item as anything but a toy.!

I recommended to them to come here first and ask / sell here to get a heads up on a particular find they run across, as they are lost in this area.

Addendum

I've look on the archives and have found some general comments about this unit with some photos , I think from April 2008.

Also found a blurb on schachcomputer.info under Fidelity 198x to 198x where it is mentioned in an article as looking like an Excel without the display. Years seems to be 1987 or so.
Other than speaking 4 languages and being jazzed up, I haven't learned much else.
It's possible they refined the program ect ect. Don't know.

Hi all

I just won this Fidelity Excellence model 6062. I'll place a link below, you'll have to scroll down for the details.

Thing is I can't find anything about it. The fact that it talks 4 languages and lights up the squares, I thought was just wild! (neat)!! It may just be lighting the co-ordinates though and not lighting the squares.

I have no idea how common this edition was. For sure it is rare that it has not ever been opened or used!!

I've offered  2 other fellows to buy the unit and one has already declined!!

The other fellow has not responded as of yet, we'll see.

No price has been determined; hoping to get some feedback here for an estimate.

The fellow may decline. This is a notice that I would make it available to you guys should anyone have any interest.

I will receive the unit this week.

Note: AS a double take, I'll mention again; it has not ever been taken out of its box!!! I don't even know what year this was made.

Fair warning this is not intended as a bargain item. But I am not greedy either. (just want to be fairish so to speak)

It does not  have a price as yet. Maybe with some feedback from you guys on the board, I will know what is balanced.

I don't think there were many of these made but really have no idea. Shout out if you are familiar!?

I don't know the mhz speed as I have not got the unit yet.

I do have a Excellence with an original manual and box in excellent condition (no pun intended here) for sale also ; if you would like a budget model classic. If you can beat it, you have my lifetime admiration! It's running at 5 mhz if my short wave radio's feedback is indicating correct. As a referrence, it has my Mephisto Master at 20mhz right on the nose.

I will even do a package deal for anybody who would like to buy both. And for you guys who want only one that will be ok too.

If the offers are a little low, I'll put out a asking price. This should happen after after feedback is given from you experienced guys.

  Later JG
