Hi Bryan

I was beginning to think nobody wanted to play a chess  tournament on here.

I don't mind where the tournament is.

It would be interesting if we could level the playing ground by handicapping the stronger programs to enable a mixed field of players or possibly a combination of strong and weaker programs.

Hopefully there will be more than two people on a forum such as this who would want to play chess.

Robert, you should attend whats a few  hundred kilometres.

Regards  Paul

Great idea but unfortunately Oxford is a little too far for me, how about Birmingham which would be only a two hour journey?

Hey, our dutch friends are travelling around 800 km to come to the tournaments in Augsburg and Klingenberg...

Ok, ok, i admit, that this would be too much for me too...

Does anyone fancy setting up a dedicated chess computer tournament in the UK. I live in the general Oxford area and have access to low cost facilities. I'm happy to put work into the general organisation of any such tournament.

The finer details will need to be decided upon but lets see if there is any interest
