Can you advise if it is touch sensitive or needs magnetic pieces, so I can fine someone who could replace them.

It is touch (pressure) sensitive.

But i wonder, why you did not try it yourself? Switching it on and pressing on the squares would have answered your question...

You can also look at :

or
http://www.xs4all.nl/~tluif/chescom/EngNovM16.html

These are good sources for chess computer information before purchasing...

bien cordialement,
Dominique

Hello,

Just started here, I have purchased a Novag Mentor 16 chess computer off Ebay today it was very good value for a full size machine, but it has no pieces.

Can you advise if it is touch sensitive or needs magnetic pieces, so I can fine someone who could replace them.

Thanks,

Dan
