From arena I got UCBII ver 1.09 I don't know if this referes to the board version when 'get information'.

A temporaty fix might be to just turn the board around to get black on your side , from the bottom. Not perfect, but a simple work around.

I stumbeback to the site here and saw your question;

I set up my Citrine, me as black, started a new game in Arena with the board flipped and told Rybka to make the first move.

Which it did and Citrine made 3 beeps with the 3rd being a little longer and flashed squares from and then to when piece lifted.

Do you have baud rate at 57600 and com 1, stop bit 1 and parity no?

Then I would wonder how much ram and cpu power you have. Then try stripping down security programs which might interfere.
Maybe someone reading this will throw a bone so to speak on reading this!
By the way I don't know if  there were different generations of these boards. Don't know if there are generational differences.

This works for me only if I play black from top. If I play black from button lights and squares are not running ok. Maybe this is a problem of my machine, which is v1.0. Has any other people try this?

What I do to bypass this problem is playing black from button but configure software do not send white move twice, and the enter moves reading screen before.

Hi Kempelen

I haven't had any problems.

1st on the board

I flip my citrine to play black from the bottom by entering the menu on the board and flipping in the regular way by llifting the appropriate piece to do so then exiting the menu.

2nd :  and then in arena flipping the board with mouse for arena (icon option, which is itself an icon option you can set up in options)  then both work.

Well, this work for me too only if I look the screen each time computer make a move and then enter it manually (or seeing it in the side lcd). This work while arena does not send moves twice (flash move option under citrine options menu). If I check flash move (send twice) in order to citrine show square lights then it does not work propertly, it looks like hang or confuse. So the only way to play black from button agains a remote pc engine is without send pc move twice and look into pc screen.

could you test if this is a problem for you also?

thank very much

Hi,

I want to play black agains a PC engine in my Citrine, i.e. under SCID or Arena. If I dont flip board I can do without problems, but if I try to flip citrine board (F command) then when move is send twice it seems to cause problems with lights and squares. Do you have the same problem? How has you solve it?

Any help will be wellcome.

Best Regards,

Fermin
