Bryan is right, return it as fast as you can for a replacement. I don't think Novag has a very long warrentee. although some sellers have their warrentee like "classic chess and games" will warentee for at least a year if not more. regards, tony

Just ask for a replacement under it's warranty.
I don't think your problems will be solved by just resetting the Citrine.

You are not lucky.
Such kind of problem is uncommon.

Thanks for the reply, but I have looked on the bottom of the chess board and there is no hole or anything. From what I can tell the only way to access the reset button on my system is to unscrew the back panel.

http://img465.imageshack.us/img465/7268/novagdet2clockosciladorxd2.jpg - this is the only picture I could find of the reset button online.

anyways, the issue I am having is after a day of playing with my brand new Citrine, square F1 no longer detects a piece on it, and only two out of four LED's light up, the LCD displays UEr F1. Which from what I have read means it's waiting for that piece. Also when I have a piece of E1 only three LED's light up, the bottom right which is used for F1 fails to light up. I am guessing the unit is broken and just needs to be sent back. This is rather disappointing.  Do Citrine's fail often?

You can find the reset button under the computer. There is a very small hole on the veneer, without any mark or label - surpisingly the reset button is under this hole. Try to push it with a pin or other sharp object. Good luck!

I just got a Novag Citrine and after a day of use it seems that the F1 square is not detecting a piece, the LCD says UEr F1, which I know is the verify mode. I read in the manual that there is a reset button on the back of the computer, I can not find this any where. Can someone explain where it is or take a picture for me. I am hoping that the reed switch is just stuck and that the Novag Citrine is not broken.
