This limit comes from Saitek.
I have no clue why they can impose it..

Any chances we will see these modules mass produced?
Why 'the limited edition'?

The way I see it the project was a great success!
The Resurrection page still gets a good number of visitors and I still get emails about that.

The interest shown, even though not everyone could get one, is to me a good indicator!

I will be updating the page with the last info and also a link to the official support forum at schachcomputer.info

I think this is the first thread on Ismenio's forum with 100 posts or 1000 views. You have to say that there is a lot of interest in your brainchild.

Sad news :

All 25 Resurrection modules are placed with an proud owner. The last 4 serials are linked to my team in Holland.

So if you are interested in a module at this moment you will be too late.

Super regards...
Ruud

Gentleman,

Just to be on the safe side. An official aproval from the authors from Fruit and Toga has yet to be agreed upon.
I hope they will see the project aspect of this and hope they will allow these two great programs to be integrated in the Resurrection. A great chess computer deserves great programs !

The fact that both programs can be downloaded for free is not good enough for me.

Furthermore only twenty modules are officially released.

Four additional modules are owned by great dutch friends who help me out on all aspects of the project : Testing, Building, Tournaments and Public Relations.

The last module is off course in my collection....

Hi All

Just received an email from Ruud Martin about the next release for the Resurrection module.
Those who are wondering what Resurrection is can find out all about it in Ismenios excellent explanation here :-

http://www.ismenio.com/ruud.html

One update of that information is that all 25 module sets have now been sold.

Anyway the release information is as follows :-

Resurrection friends,

Today I finished beta release 2.04. This release contains three additional engines : Deep Sjeng 1.8, Fruit 2.1 and Toga 1.0.

You have the possibility to change all possible settings per engine from within Resurrection !

I will still need three weeks before everythings checks out ok, but in the basics the programming is ready.

The graphical LCD will be available within the Kaufbeuren and Leiden 2005 tournaments. But there are still enough issues to overcome.

The Bluetooth uplink is already functional in my prototype, and will also be demonstrated during these tournaments.

Additional information will be sent before this moment to everyone including photographs.

The Ruffian program in the first releases of Resurrection has proved to be of similar strength to the Tasc R30 and R40 in matches between them. The upcoming release 2.04 should settle the debate about which is the strongest dedicated chess computer.

Ruud, I can't wait.....

All the best
Mike

Perhaps everything turns up on Ebay in the end. If Resurrection No. 10 turns up there you will know that I have snuffed it and the wife is getting rid of all this annoying clutter.

Hi All

Ruud Martin has put this message on Kurt Kisperts Forum. So if you are interested in joining in on the Resurrection project this is probably your last chance.

Chess Friends,

The Resurrection is now owned by 19 chess friends around the world. I want to indicate that this delivery is limited to only 25 pieces.
This will at this time also be limited in time. Many are interested, but are awaiting for various reasons.

I hope you can understand that it will not be feasible to deliver Resurrection for the rest of this year and maybe 2007 as well. That is why I will impose a time limitation on the project as well.

Any orders until the end of juli 2005 will be accepted. This off course only when the last six pieces have not yet been taken.

The stability of the module is ok, and all bugs have been removed, so the risk is only minimal. And in this way I can focus on new developments like the real graphical display and bluetooth uplink.

Manual and foto are enclosed.

Greetings,
Ruud Martin

With 19 now onboard I suppose we can no longer claim to be the Dirty Dozen. The original ones perhaps. I guess I need a new Forum piccie.

I wonder who the other seven are and whether Ruud is including himself, Louis van Bever and Hein Veldhuis (his testers) in that number.

Mike

Thanks for that post Mike. I for one didn’t know about that. I guess I’ll never see a Resurrection on my Exclusive board!
As for the Dirty Dozen, I think all of you should keep the title! You were the “original 12” and only you got the module with the first released version with the first bugs! So, you’re all unique!

A thought just occurred to me. Do you think we would ever see any of those on eBay one day??? I think you should get another one Mike. Maybe one day I will find something to interest you and we’ll trade
