I have Boris 2.5, Morphy, Gruenfeld and the Capablanca end game module.
Hi Paul

I asked about the modules to see if there was a possibility of a trade. But you have the same ones as me.

The MGS is easy to take apart and check over. Putting it together again I found tricky with the short ribbon cable,  but I expect many would find it simple.

Email me with an offer if you are interested in either of the MGS units I mentioned. I am in England so postage can be a problem? Otherwise they come up on Ebay from time to time. Perhaps 10 a year. Or others who post here may be able to help.

All the best
Mike

Paul

If mending the MGS or GGM (computer unit) fails I may be able to help. I have a spare with no sound, some may think that a blessing. And another spare with slightly dim display, but perfectly playable. They are both in good shape.

Which modules do you have?

I know a guy who has it. I'll check with him.
But I would also try Olivier's suggestion.
What's wrong with it Paul? Depending on what the problem is you may be able to get it fixed.

Hi,

Make a diagnose of the computer (don't powered on (very good breakdown), leds light but don't change, no response keyboard ...) for evaluation of the breakdown.
Try to find a (wo)man that can repair it for the fun/challenge (like me, but near you).
Ask in a "electronic club".
Wait for the "chronotherapeute", a man who resolve any problem by waiting a (very) long time ;-))

Olivier.

I have several chess modules(Sargon 2,5, Morphy etc.) produced by Applied Concepts(or Chaftiz) in the early 1980's.  The problem is that the comouter unit does not work.  Does anyone have a workintg unit for sale?
