Paul,

In my opinion the screen is not friendly at all! Especially if you compare it to PDAs.

Novag had a great screen in some prototypes but it seems the cost was too high and they had to settle for a not-so-great alternative.

This is a great screen and that's what they should have released!


Instead, this is what you'll get:




I think the Excalibur Deluxe Talking LCD (aka Chessica) has the best screen you can find (for dedicated units):



I have that one. Of course it is not as strong as the Novag model. I hope this helps.

Does anyone have any input as to the graphics used by the Novag star sapphire handheld?  Are the pieces easy to see?  I khow it has a powerful program, I am just wondering about the ease of play?  Thanks.
