Hi Robert,

You are 100% correct! That's a CC7 and thank you for the correction. I'm always grateful when people correct me!! Please never shy away from doing that as I truly appreciate the input I get here. You would think the 7 levels would be enough of a hint! Duh!

Now I the hunt is on for an ad for a CC3
Does anybody know whether Fidelity ever run ads on TV back then?

sorry, but I don't think, that this is a CC3: it should be a CC7, as it has 7 levels (as stated in the text)

And the keyboard has 4 keys more than a CC3.

I know this is getting too much for me when I'm even buying ads from old magazines
But here is one for the CC3 form the early 80s.



I found the price was very interesting. Suggested retail price: $115, dealer cost: $75, "now" only $39.
Also notice the detail about the analysis of positions: 3,024,000. I'm sure back then it got a lot of "wows!"
I'll try to scan a better copy later and post it on the site for reference.
