It has been already removed by Ebay!

I'm afraid, he will not use this anymore!

There was another suspicious R30 for auction last november. The seller has not even one feedback until now! (neither positive or negative)

Hmm... do you think perhaps he has “sold” one that was not detected by any of us before? Maybe he lured some poor soul with a buy-it-now auction and that made him think he can still get another person to fall for it?

It is back yet again :-

Supposedly it also has a bid.

He is determined to lure some poor unwary buyer into buying this Tasc, that he does not have. Why he should persist in this way, when there must be any number of valuable items he could switch to, beats me.

Clive Munro has done a good job of getting Ebay to shut the auctions down each time. It is becoming a permanent job.

Thanks for the heads up Mike! Sneaky! Having the bidders as private!
I wonder if we could have a "patrol", a dummy eBay ID to fight scams like this!
Say, we bid $1,000,000,000.00 just to get info on the guy when it's time to pay and then have the FBI go after him.

Probably not worth it as Clive+eBay do take care of things but it would give some kind of satisfaction following the action close and seeing the dissapointment on the emails when you win and say, "I'll give you cash on pick up!"

Hi All

For anyone who has not been following this saga, this is a scam :-

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1182&item=5184402040&rd=1

Clive Munro sold this Tasc back in October 2004. Since then scammers using his photos have tried to con someone into buying the Tasc, they do not have, on several occasions. Each time Clive has got Ebay to stop the "auction" and ban the Ebay ID but it keeps coming back.

Happy Ebay hunting,

Mike
