Anyway since I did not manage to connect the Star Sapphire directly with the UCB I am selling the latter!

A short friendship!

Hi Christian,
do you mean this one  ?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5197947992

I also have :
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5956142496

other sales are not anymore on ebay, price has been between 174 Euros and 352 Euros.

I have never seen the other Novag board on ebay (I think that there was another one, am I wrong ?)

Best,
Alain

Alain,

thank you for your database research...I just wanted to know if I got my UCB for a reasonable price...this is how I am ebaying...first bidbidbidbid and then pay a lot of money and then wonder what the (hell) did I do

But I think I got this one for a fair price, hence it is in excellent condition.

I also have heard of another Novag board, but I ´ve never seen one.

Gruß,

Christian

Hi Dick and welcome back! Did you bring my Magic Castle?

Ismenio

Ismenio,

I didn't see any of the Magic Castle sets and I even asked Mickey (actually I asked "several" Mickeys) about them.

Here is one on eBay you can bid on.

242$?

A really good price. Here in Spain Novag is selling the last UCB+SAPPHIRE II at 400€ (although they give a novag constellation for free).

Hi Dick and welcome back! Did you bring my Magic Castle?
It was a party on eBay when folks found out you were on vacation! People were buying chess computers and vinyl records like crazy!!!   (Joke!)

We missed you!

Hi Mike,

We had a wonderful trip.  The Florida weather was very hot, in the upper nineties F. for the first few days, but then it rained every morning the rest of the time and cooled off into the mid eighties.  The rain also kept many of the less hardy Disneyers away, so the crowds were considerably smaller on those mornings.  We were able to do so much more in less time on those days.

The 3,500 miles we drove were uneventful, thankfully.  How many times would you have to drive back and forth on your island to go 3,500 miles?

By the way, was it lonely in the U.K. the past couple of weeks?  It seemed that the majority of people we talked to or heard speaking were from somewhere in the U.K.  Was this time some sort of major holiday over there, or is the English Pound value way up compared to the U.S. Dollar?

We ate a lot of wonderful ethnic foods in the different nations restaurants that were staffed by people from the various countries.  Our favorites were the North African and Morrocco restaurants.

Dick

You didn't miss a thing.

Great to hear you enjoyed yourself.

Trips to Florida are very popular over here, particularly if you have kids. Perhaps it was the half term holidays that caused the flood of Brits. I think that the most I have ever driven on holiday is 2000 miles and that was a round trip to the Dolomites and Venice.

Without you around prices have slumped. Even a Novag Robot went for peanuts. There was a CC3 that went for £205, but no red sticker.  I was all dressed up to go with a bid of £80 something when it just zoomed up way beyond what I thought. Bought by "brettschachcomputer". Does anyone know if that is Kurt K?

To show you how sorely missed you are, that Eyeball has gone round twice without a bid.

All the best
Mike

There is a larger Novag board than this UCB that is called something like Tournament Sensory Board, or something similar.  It has 2 inch squares instead of the 1.5 inch squares of the UCB.

I think that there are some other minor differences, but I can't remember what they are.
