Now, that's a red flag for me! 3?!!
Did you try to ask him to send pictures of his computers directly to your email?

Ive received no answer to my question - and, as you may have seen, he now has 3 identical auctions up! Its getting a bit suspicious: no more bidding for me....

Hello Mikkel

I think you are doing the right thing in asking questions. In the absence of photos you need to know exactly what condition this item is in. The "dodgy" photos and zero feedback may put other buyers off, so some work to find out about the machine may get you a bargain.

All the best

Hi Mikkel,

I have seen someone copying pictures + texts from other people's auction before, but only a couple of times. However, since one of this seller is new to eBay I would be a little more careful with that. I'm not saying you should bid on his auction but to do things like you did: ask him questions, get more details on the computer, etc.

Whatever way you go, I wish you all the best and let us know how it goes! That's a beautiful computer! Mike believes the Mephisto boards pre-Saitek have a better quality and I agree with him.

Hallo all,

I just made an offer for the following computer:

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=40855&item=5210291896&rd=1

But then look at this computer, an earlier but still active offer:

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=40855&item=5207026663&rd=1

All the pics and some of the text is same, but different (?) sellers. And the new seller just registered yesterday. Its perhaps understandable if someone uses other peoples pictures but text too? Ive written to the new guy, lets see what he says.
