You’ve done it again Dick!
What’s next? The 3rd Handroid in a garage sale for $10?

Now let’s see, what do I have to tempt you with…

I like trade bait.

Does that make it 45?

Well, yes, it does, but it seems unfair to count all three of these.  I wish all of the Fidelity computers I don't have would be so easy to acquire.

Not at all a strange or unusual Fidelity chess computer, but a very strange circumstance in how I located it.

I went into a locally owned and run small town leather/gift shop that has been in business here for 70 years or more.  I rarely go into it, but something drew me to go in and browse today.  They had a few tables set up with some clearance/sale items and my eyes scanned over the tables.  It was mostly junk, but my eyes stopped short when I saw a Fidelity Chess Card computer sealed in the original container.  They hadn't been made for 15 years or more, so I certainly wasn't expecting one to be there.  It had the original price sticker from when it was new on it for $37.50.  The woman working there at the time is one of the owners and is probably close to 70 years old.  She said she would sell the Chess Card to me for $15.  Since I lost out on one still sealed in the original container on eBay awhile back when I bid close to $50, I certainly didn't hesitate.

Then she said that she would be glad to get rid of all the rest of these that she had, since the chess computers stopped selling well many years ago.  After I caught my breath, I asked her to check to see if they really did have some more of these.  I was thinking that they might have 10, 20 or more.  Well, fortunately, she only found two more, but I also bought them for the price of $15 each.

I could recall that back in the 1980's this shop did deal in a variety of chess stuff, including computers.  I asked if they might have any others, but alas, they did not.  I was dreaming, for a bit, that they might have some of the expensive Fidelity models, like the Avant Garde or Prestige.

Now I finally have some doubles of something for trade bait or to sell on eBay.
