Dick,

I think you're driving some of that traffic with your interesting posts
I'm at work but today is a rare day! I've managed to take a couple of breaks!

Can't wait to go home though. Something has arrived which I shall share with all of you and some may find that at least somewhat of a curiosity!

Talk to you guys later!

Ah yes baseball. Thats the game for fat guys that chew gum and do a lot of spitting. Here we have a similar girls game called rounders.

That sounds a good advert, I'd like to see that.

Nobody really films cricket here Dick. There are a couple of guys, one an ex-England wicket-keeper painting watercolours of it.

I am sitting here posting and watching that strange arcane game - cricket - on the TV. England v Australia for the Ashes (don't ask). For the first time in a very long time, 20 years, England are in with a reasonable chance. A series consists of five five-day matches.

Mind you I will pay for it later and will be "working" late.

Arcane, indeed!

There has been an amusing ad on our televisions lately.  There is this stuffy American (yes, we do have our share of these, also) wearing a suit and lying down on his stomach on some grass.  He is closely studying a grasshopper, and there is a tea cup on the grass nearby.  There is a cameraman nearby filming him.  He makes some comment like: "we are in England filming their favorite pastime of watching cricket (it is a grasshopper, though!) and having tea.  They will do this for days at a time."  Then a cricket ball rolls up and knocks over the tea cup and scares the grasshopper away.  The American picks up the ball and stands up angrily.  He then throws the ball down and says: "look here chaps, we are trying to film here.  Please play your *baseball* game someplace else."  Then the cricket players chase the "ugly" American away.

I don't remember what the ad is selling, but it seemed to apply here.

I should be home watching the PGA golf tournament, but somebody has to work.
