Has anyone looked at one of these? Looks very similar to a DGT board:

I was interested in the bit about Anatoly Karpov endorsing these.  He has a chess school in a small town 15 miles from my home, in Lindsborg Kansas.  It is the only Karpov school in the U.S., I think I remember him saying at one of the events he attended last year.  Last winter, I and a friend watched a two day, round robin event with 6 GM's, including Karpov in a very small auditorium.  They had all three boards rigged up with large screens and they were computerized boards, so that the small crowd of a few dozen of us could watch all the games as they progressed.  I had never seen big time chess players that close up before.  They were only about 10 feet in front of me as they played.

Karpov's school is primarily for youth players, but they also have adult classes.  They are mostly taught by lower ranking chess teachers, but one of the regulars is Anna Zara something - her last name is quite long, but begins with a Z.  She is a a woman's GM, and only in her early 20's.  Very beautiful and interesting to talk to.

They have a couple of professional tournaments there each year, and they are quite well attended.

Who would have thought something like this would spring up in the center of the rural part of Kansas?
