Mike,

I almost tried to get one of these a few months ago but it was beyond my limit at the time. That looks like an intriguing concept to me.

Just to confirm, this would not work with Ruud's module, right?

Best,

I see what you mean Ismenio.

No I was referring to the Mephisto Mirage. They were produced in 1984, which is why I have one (1977-1984 collection). Running on a 1806 chip at 8 MHz, there is a Mephisto II program in the early ones I think? This would be much weaker than the Glasgow World Champion program of 1984 which is in mine.

As with the Modular boards they run off batteries and adaptor. Unlike the Modular the Mirage board is press sensory. Which means that later modules do not run in it. Well the MM II doesn't. I suppose it was intended as an economy version of the newly developing range but it still retailed at 299 DM at the time.

Mine looks just like the bigger one in this picture. You can see the gold World Championship stickers on the box.

Nooooooooooooooo!

Mike, I was a lot happier before I saw that
just kidding. Thanks for sharing it.

Also, I can use help from anyone who wants to give me details of closed auctions so that I can update the eBay watch list.
