Hi Mike,

that´s correct. It´s a strong computer with approx 1920 ELO and a lot of features.

And - i offer one on my website in very good conditions!

Have a nice day,
Uli

Well I eventually found the Academy manual in amongst the chaos that is my collection.

Paul if you would like to email me with your address I will send you a copy. Etienne, your copy is on it's way.

The Academy is a sweet little chess computer which will play against you at any Elo you like between 1000 and 2000 (approx). It will also calculate your Elo for you after each game. In theory it should get near the truth if you play a series of games against it.

Should I chance it?

Paul/ Carter

I have a Mephisto Monte Carlo manual which I can copy if that is any good? The Monte Carlo and Academy are similar machines with Ed Schroder programs, but different displays.

An Academy manual can be bought here :-

http://www.classicchessandgames.com/InstructionBooklets.htm

and there is one in German here :-

http://www.alte-schachcomputer.de/bdamephisto.htm

Can I join the queue please if any kind person out there has an Academy manual they can copy. If it is like the Polgar and Monte Carlo ones the German instructions are at the front and the English instructions at the back.

All the best
Mike

Paul,

I should still have it but to serve as a reminder, could you send me an email with the address + a note with the computer name?

Hi Ismenio

That would be very nice of you, I don't mind waiting.  Have you still got my address?

Paul,

I have the MM IV. If you're patient enough to wait a couple of weeks I can send you a copy. I don't have it in electronic format
