Does anybody know when Ruud is planning to pull this rabbit from the hat? 120 hours work sounds quite a long time to me    and was the delicate subject of cost mentioned at Kaufbeuren?

I could email Ruud but I don't want to delay work on the Graphical Display Module.

Ruud told me, that the Graphical Display Module is not number one on his priority list!

But i don't know, what his number one is...

Mike,

this is exactly the photo I was on...from this photo it is obvious that there will be no problem to change the modules anymore...
I do not know when the new module will be available...maybe even Ruud doesn't know yet
I personally am not in favour of the bluetooth stick...if one already uses several bluetooth devices problems could arrise...I do not mind using the cable. In fact I needed it only five times so far...not this much.
But if you have to communicate with a PC more often (e.g. for the savegame feature) bluetooth would come in handy...

Hello,

I guess the new graphical module from Ruud will have a Bluetooth connection. So, no cables anymore, but you need to buy a Bluetooth stick or something similar to establish the talk between Resurrection and you PC.

Would be a quite nice solution in my eyes.

best regards

Ismenio/Julius

Thank you for the pictures. Julius sent an email with the first picture but I had not worked out how Julius had done it (probably "a problem between my ears"  ).

The slightly tricky connecting up of the serial link (and power supply) to the update board and worries about not damaging it, are matters I had posted on the Schachcomputer.info support forum. I would like to see a serial link/power module to replace the current update board. Julius' idea is excellent, but I don't think I will try it. I could run out of MMII/LCD modules and be going cap in hand to Ruud for a replacement UCB.

All the best
Mike

Mike,

yes. Your ears...glad you remembered this one

I won't try this either...I will just await the graphical display module...from the pictures of Kaufbeuren 2005 it seems to replace the UCB.

Just sharing with everyone. I got these pictures from Julius another happy owner of a Resurrection module.
He made a small change to Ruud's UCB so it could be removed more easily. I believe all Resurrection owners have this information but just so the rest of us, mortals, could take a look at how he did it, here it is!
And thanks to Julius for the information and great pictures!

I will update the page with them. Again, I'm way behind updates!
Interestingly, I'm still getting inquiries about availability of the modules! I do need an update stating it is no longer available.

Best,

Ismenio
