Hallelujah...

Winning is not always the goal..

Losing a game by dropping the flag for resurrection while it announces a #04 is adrenaline pumping gaming.

And Hans is right.. Making (maintaining) friends in a tournament is also important... So is is about fun and games...

Greetings to all.
Ruud

PS Resurrection is #1......

Hello Mike,

Yes as we al know Res.Fruit is TO strong . So Ruud decided to give the engine only 10 min and us the normal 30 min.
Win is not the main goal. To be as collectors in 1 room for 2 days, and have a good time is the goal in mine opinion.

Kind regards,

Hans

Yes Hans that is my sort of chess computing. I am not a good tester though. I get distracted and either too involved with the chess or bored when the result is obvious.

Have you come across any of the "bugs" Martin and I noted on the Resurrection thread?

Best wishes

Hello all,

the Fruit engine played all games but fruit had only 1/3 of the time as other computers thatswhy it lost 3 times .The Sparc (mine fault ) the first day the score was 0 out 4 i was playing whit the standard program of kaplan not with the Sparc module. Thatswhy the Sparc had only 1,5 points but in the last round in a winning position i did give a draw to the operator of the Milano so he did get a bottle of wine the poster u see is a own experiment from a guy who build with old stuff a robot for himself and when he moves the robot speaks with the voice of his wife
I forgot his name at the moment

Kind regards,

Hans
Hi Hans

You Dutch guys are very generous. Playing with a weaker program, taking only 1/3 of the time and giving draws away. Do you have any more Tascs for free, please.

Hans what I do not understand is why Ruud handicapped Fruit and only played with 10 minutes in the 30 minutes per game section. Was this because of worries about loss on time, or pure generosity and sportsmanship towards the outclassed competition?

All the best
Mike

I was just checking the score table. What happened to the Resurrection? Did it play with other engines?
