I tried to install Fritz1 and chessgenius over the pc emulator but with no success. If anyone knows how to do it, please post. No problem with the chess programs for SNES or MEGADRIVE. They work ok with their emulators. I' try to do it with the amiga chess games that, in my opinion, are very good. Several months ago I tried Chessplayer 2150 but It was unplayable for me.

yes, I have the 2.0...

I'll check this week-end if I can downgrade it and then run a few chess programs such as Sargon III on an apple II emulator

thanks

Alain

Do you need a special version of the PSP system to run the emulators ?
I talked about that last week with a friend and he told me that I couldn't run custom software because I had a "too recent" version

Thanks,
Alain

PS : if there is a SDK, then I suppose we could have Fruit and its clones running natively.

That's a very important question Alain,
Yes you need a psp with the 1.50 firmware or lower. Those are the american and japo versions not european but if you buy the european with firm 2.0 there's no problem because you can easily downgrade it with soft. My psp was 2.0 and I downgraded it to 1.50. If your version is 2.01, 2.5 or later things get more complicated. In just this versions all you can do It's buying comercial aplicattions  >:(

There's a important 'emulator scene' for it. Yesterday I tried chessmaster in the Snes psp emulator. Emulation It's good, and the marvellous psp screen looks nice. But now I've read that there is and MSDOS emulator (even a very slow version of Windows95 is running).

That sounds very interesting! I'm also thinking about buying one (maybe next year)
If MSDOS is running, then the PSP should support a fullsize-keyboard (i assume over USB); the mouse for Win95 could be emulated with the keys on the PSP.

Please keep us posted!

Last week I recieved an special present: A Sony PSP. In adition to the games you can buy for this system there's a interesting feature that I'm investigating: There's a important 'emulator scene' for it. Yesterday I tried chessmaster in the Snes psp emulator. Emulation It's good, and the marvellous psp screen looks nice. But now I've read that there is and MSDOS emulator (even a very slow version of Windows95 is running). I'm imagining executing the good chess old programs on my psp...  I think It will be hard for me to get the dos emulator running and don't know how good it is but be sure I'll investigate.

Sorry for my bad english
