Very cool! I did not know about that!

I just looked at it quickly now but I liked the search option and how the messages are organized! I personally think it would be great if CCC adopted this format and if they had a forum dedicated to the machines!

Well, go to go for now Talk to you guys later!

Regards,

Ismenio

Hi Steve

Thanks for the message. A Happy Christmas and New Year to you and your family too.

Sadly the collection is riddled with doubles. Space is running out and a second house is out of the question.

For 2006 my aim is to find appreciative homes for the doubles and scour the Far East for handhelds even Hein Veldhuis has never heard of.

Please go easy on us rank and file on CCC.

All the best
Mike

hopefully the posts do not contain too many errors?

i can see your collection is growing handsomely

well done Sir!

now if we could only manage to get younger men then us to take up the hobby with the same fire in the belly as you have,we would then have heirs to leave our computers too

A joyous Holiday Season to you and yours

Best Regards

Hi All

One of the problems with the CCC (Computer-Chess Club) Message Board is that, after three or four days, messages disappear into the black hole that is their archive system. You can spend hours in there finding nothing of interest even if you think you know the date of the post. As I once did on a thread about the Intelligent Chess machine.

Currently there is a "private" archive system available which allows searches based on keywords and poster ID. It is easy to use, very effective and covers 8 years of posts. A wealth of information about chess computers is contained therein, mainly put there by Steve Blincoe.

I believe that the provider of this archive is trying to get it recognised/adopted by CCC. He has made it available only until the end of the month, at least in the first instance. So if you are interested I would recommend taking a look over the next two weeks because the archive may disappear as quickly and quietly as it arrived.
