Hi Bryan

Thanks for this - it is a pity. For some reason I had assumed it was a technical issue thinking my Zire 21 was 'old' technology

Best wishes

Hi Bryan,

I have just completed a new 'Classic Challenger' set for the next release of Hiarcs Palm (Version10).

Your piece sets for Hiarcs look great!  - I guess there is no way now or in the future for getting your sets to run on a humble Zire 21?

Best wishes

Hi
Porting to the Palm would also mean a considerable ammount of additional work providing new piece sets.
The Pocket PC only requires two sets (Large & Small) but the Palm would require six sets.
I have just completed a new 'Classic Challenger' set for the next release of Hiarcs Palm (Version10).
All this is done in my spare time, so I would not want another big project for quite some time.

Very cool Alain! Congratulations on this release.
Last November I almost got a UCB and was checking your site for the CEBoard as I really wanted to try it with your program. I also still haven't got a PocketPC computer that I can use. Maybe with my next Treo upgrade, since I can't go back to carrying a PDA + cell phone anymore

Success on your projects for this year!

All the best,

Ismenio

yes, this post belongs to this forum as the new features of CEBoard only interest NOVAG computers owners !

In addition of DGT and UCB, this new release of CEBoard allows the connection of :
1) Novag Star Diamond
2) Novag Sapphire II
3) Novag Sapphire
4) Novag Super VIP

You can connect these boards to the Pocket PC running CEBoard with a serial cable and :

1) play against these computers within CEBoard interface. CEBoard displays the evaluation, line, etc... of the computers
2) or play normally on the computer with CEBoard connected: CEBoard records the moves as well as the evaluation, etc...
3) import the game in memory of a Star Diamond (was already possible), Sapphire or Sapphire II into a PGN file (but no evaluations are available in this mode)

In addition, but it is not really fair, you can run a game between one of these computers and a CEBoard's engine (Fruit & a few clones or Crafty Classic).

Best,

Alain

PS : next releases will target Super Expert, Renaissance (and every chess computer I own with an RS-232 interface)
