no problem m8, i had expected it to sell for more, but then again i have no idea what the market value for it is, after a week at £100 and 10+ watchers and it rocketed up to £104!, but i'm new to selling on ebay so its all a learning thing atm, but at least its gone!, thats nowhere near as bad as selling a £60 dgt timer for £5, all i could do was laugh:)

Well, I missed the end of the auction! I was working at that time and because I don't use any automated bidding tool...

I had a feeling there would be competition. I actually thought more people would jump in in the last minute. I hope the winner takes good care of it

Thanks again for sharing the auction with us nih!

Best regards,

Hi nih,

Thanks for the update and for your honesty. However, I still want to buy it from you so I'm not going to retract my bid.
If I win, I may still negotiate with you on the shipping options  but we can talk about that later.

But since you mentioned that, I do wonder if I could even retract the bid I think I only did that once when I entered the wrong amount at an auction and I did it within seconds I think. I don't know if I could do that now. But again, you can count on me and I have a feelings others may still jump in. Some folks do wait to bid at the last minute or use a service to bid for them.

If I don't win, I hope it makes it to a good home

Regards,

Ismenio

no problem, you are the only bidder so far though:)

just thought i'd add something i just noticed, heres something i just added to the description...

I just noticed while packing all the parts that the parallel connector covers have some small pieces of plastic missing, these used to hold both covers together, i think that sometime in the last 10 years i took it apart, badly, no idea why, it works perfectly ok though, its probably best that i leave it in that condition, unless the eventual buyer wants me to glue it back together, which is a 5 minute job, here's a link to a picture of the connector: http://www.nih.nildram.co.uk/Parallel%20Connector%20-%20Missing%20Plastic.jpg

If you want you can retract your bid either because of the connector issue or the post issue, dunno how ebay works yet, assuming this is possible without affecting your account negatively

Hi nih / Steve,

Thanks for the udpate. That's is an expensive insurance
Not sure I would go for it. At the same time, I recently ran into my first problem with shipping where a computer I sent to a friend here (Chris) seems to have gone missing in action

First time that ever happened and I'm really upset about that! I've sent and received stuff from many countries before without problem. Sometimes there was a long delay but never a package was lost until now

I think I vaguely remember something about them being different.

I think that the electronics in the pieces for SB 20 and SB 30 is similar.  However, there is also a distinction between SB 1 and SB 2, and that has to do with the signals from the pieces and board to the PC.  I have both and the SB 1 pieces works with SB 2 and vice versa.

Thanks, thats great news:)

the cheapest i've found so far is dhl:

http://www.parcel2go.com/usacan.asp

they quote 35.99, then theres something
called a 12% fuel surcharge, no idea what its 12% of...

so its probably about the 40 mark, i just mailed them to ask
what the insurance cover is for that service, will probably get a reply sometime tomorrow since they are closed now.

Thanks again for starting off and hopefully finishing the auction as the winner:)

Thanks nih! I'll take a chance. You just got one bid

Good news for you is that I think you'll get more people interested in this auction

Bad news for me is I think you'll get more people interested in this auction

8)

By the way, can you estimate the shipping cost to the US?

Ismenio

Yep, Board, Pieces & Bag, Parrallel Adaptor, PSU and original box, no idea if the pieces are different, imo making the pieces different for SB20/30 wouldn't make sense since the only difference should be more led's in the SB30, but of course Tasc could of made a questionable 'engineering decision' and made them incompatible for whatever reason.

Thanks for posting that nih. Did I get it right that you're also including the pieces? Do you know (or anyone reading this) whether they would work with the SB30?

I think I vaguely remember something about them being different.

Thanks,
