In truth I just see something that looks more like 1A than A1. Have you tried climbing inside the monitor?

Hi Mike, hi tomwil,

i think Mike is in right. It will be an cc1 in a cc3 box. But i do not see 1A. I print, i zoom, i jump and i touch the picture. Your eyes will be brilliant, if you really see 1A  .
Perhaps you want see 1A

But if the seller told 1A, too, i think it is korrekt, because he has only one negative feedback.

Greets José

The one CC3 box I have, with the red 3 levels sticker, says E7 - E1.

The two CC1 boxes both have 8d - 6b (h4 - f2 in normal notation).

So it looks like a CC1 in a CC3 box. Which raises suspicions but I still see 1A on the machine (clearest when I print the picture off). And the sellers reply was clearer and more to the point than most I have read. He says definitely 1A, not A1, and numbers at the bottom.

Good spot by Jose though and another piece in the CC1/CC3 jigsaw.

All the best

Do you really think it is a CC1? In the background you can see on the paper E7 - E1?!

Thanks, Jose, for showing me this!

When you look at the pic featured in the auction, on the box it clearly shows on the LED screen E7 and E1.  On Ismenio's website pic of the CC1 box you clearly see bF and bb.  Does that mean that the box on the auction is not from a CC1?

I also asked the seller whether the bottom row (where the rook, knight, etc was located) was labeled in numbers or letters ... he told me it is in numbers.

The manual shown in the auction pic does not have "upgraded version" or "7" on it, so that looks original.

Can anyone tell what chess computer that box belongs to?  I looked at a CC3 and CC7 box on the net, but it did not have the E7 E1.

Yes tomwil, I emailed the seller and from what he says it is a CC1. Also you can just about make out the 1A on the keypad.

As you say it is unlikely to be a CC3 at $200 with 5 days to go.

Can anyone tell if this is a Fidelity Chess Challenger 1 (CC1)?  The price seems to be way high for it to be anything else.
