Hi Overtom,

I send you a email.

I take the challenge to play with these 8 chess computers.

Best regards,

Mychess.

Hi Overtom,

I'm interesting to repair these computers.
Do you know the shipping price for France ?
Cordialy.

Mychess.

Very brave if you hope to get them repaired

The CC10 is the one you can see at:
http://users.boardnation.com/~chesscomputers/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=690

I don't know what's wrong with the Turbo Advanced Trainer. It just doesn't do anything. But it looks as new and has all its chessmen.

Kishon Chesster utters some phrases, a few LEDs light up now and then and it responds to pressure on buttons and squares, but it seems to mix up its sounds, commands and lights and  resets at unexpected moments. But it comes with the original chessmen!

I remember the Novag's responses were as enthusiastic as the Turbo Advanced Trainer's, or in other words: completely autistic!

It will be about 3 kilogrammes. As far as I can gather, the post wants 18,50 to ship such a weight. If you wish, I can include the working computers mentioned earlier in this thread:

  CXG Sierra (no chessmen)
  Novag Secondo (non-original black queen)
  Kasparov Pocket Plus
  Chessman (no battery compartment lid)

The whole package (8 computers would then be 25 Euro (including shipping).

This price applies for France and other countries not far from The Netherlands I'm afraid Russia, China and other remote corners of the world will not be dealt with so favourably by the post

Best regards,

tom

P.S. I have all these machines double and they only take up space that could be occupied by others.

This may be what you have always been waiting for:

I'm offering four computers FOR FREE:

  Chess challenger 10
  Saitek Turbo Advanced Trainer
  Kishon Chesster
  Novag Super System III

Unfortunately , there is something amiss with all of them so that it is impossible or at least very difficult to play chess with them. For those who want to have them for spare parts, I'm offering them for no more than the cost of shipping.

Expectantly,

tom

The CC8 has been sold. The remaining computers are:

CXG Sierra (no chessmen) 7,50 Euro
Novag Secondo (non-original black queen) 6 Euro
  Kasparov Pocket Plus 7 Euro
Chessman (no battery compartment lid) 4 Euro

The first who buys all four can have the whole lot for 10 Euro.

Best regards,

tom

I could take the Fidelity CC8 if it works as I have a 'dead' machine with chessmen and battery lid.

Terry, I sent you an internal mail about this,

Best regards,

tom

P.S. You realize you don't pay much more if you take them all?

When you start hoarding chess computers, inevitably the moment will come that you find yourself having doubles, spares, reserves or whatever you want to call them.

I've tried to restrict this to the absolute minimum: so far, I managed to keep the number as low as five.

Still, every double computer takes up space unnecessarily. So for those interested I have the following proposition:

CXG Sierra (no chessmen) 7,50 Euro
Fidelity CC8 (no chessmen or battery compartment lid) 8 Euro
Novag Secondo (non-original black queen) 6 Euro
  Kasparov Pocket Plus 7 Euro
Chessman (no battery compartment lid) 4 Euro

To make it extra attractive to take them all, I'm offering all five for 20 Euro. Of course, the buyer pays for the shipping. This offer is valid until the end of March or until I receive the first e-mail(s) from any buyers.

With best regards,

tom
