Thanks both Alain and Mike.

To Alain: Hyper Terminal is a good idea since I do not have a Distributor box...I will try it
Concerning the fact that you don't have a Diablo...you don't have one YET

Mike: I was not sure weather I to use the new adress or the aol adress...but never mind it will take the book quite a while to cross the ocean anyway. Do not forget to mark it as a present...otherwise they will make me pay

Unfortunately, I don't have a Diablo

but I can confirm that the data exchanged by Novag computers through the RS232 is perfectly readable.
I have't tried to connect a serial printer directly to my computers but it could work. Anyway, you can use hyperterminal on a pc to get the data sent by the computer and then print it from the PC.

Best,
Alain

I do not think so.

All of the print functions send the data to a TV or PC via the Super System Distributor I think. The data is sent in ASCII format from a RS232C serial port so I suppose a compatible printer could be used? Alain is the man to know.

This must have seemed a sensible decision by Novag back in 1991, but it does not look so good now.

All the best
Mike

BTW I have had big computer hardware and email problems and did not get your email about the book until today. The book will be on its way tomorrow.

The email address shown here should get me now.

Hello,

is it possible to connect the Diablo directly or indirectly with the Novag Printer?
