Hi Chris!

From time to time I do get emails on that and sometimes I do try to negotiate on the ones I'm interested with. My problem is that I always tell people, after giving an estimate, based on research or checking with fellow collectors, that they may be able to get more money if they list then on eBay
So I guess that's where most of them go on display

I also encourage them to post them here but for some reason I can't still figure out, some prefer that I post for them and even act as an intermediary. Some even ask to keep their info private, which I of course will honor. But I still don't understand the secrecy or why they are shy.

I don't make money on those deals but I'm always nervous handling people's money and goods and though it hasn't happened yet, there's a chance that the two parties may not like the final deal!

Sometimes I think that some folks believe that just because I had the site it makes me some kind of expert
I always tell them I'm always learning and that I may be just a little more than a beginner.

As for the Byte, I promised to post the request, just in case. But he knows that I already told some friends I wouldn't get rid of mine before contacting them. I really don't need two and may eventually negotiate the one I fixed though I'm not ready to do that quite yet

Well, see Charles Kamaras on the issue of the number of offers being less than the requests

And just to remind everyone to feel free to post links to their auctions or to post their offers anytime. Even if you have a store or business, it is perfectly OK to post sales ads here as well.

All the best,

Ismenio

Hi Ismenio

Thanks for this - I think you need to set up your own schachboerse!

#7 Pieces for the Fidelity Mini Sensory Chess Challenger (US)

I might be able to help here, assuming my planned attempt to effect repairs on my tempremental unit fail dismally    Having said this, this model (often complete with box etc) always seems prevalent on ebay and is inexpensive.

...perhaps you can help here?

Unfortunately, there is a mismatch between the volume of requests and offers

Best wishes

Hi All,

Something must have happened! I got a spike in the number of emails I'm getting!

For one reason or another, some folks contact me directly when they want to buy or sell something. Sometimes they ask for help with the language if they don't speak English, etc.
While I'm always willing to help, I say again to anyone in that category to feel free to use the forum to post all of your ads.

At any rate, below are some of the wanted/for sale items I've received lately. Again, I'm glad to help connect you folks but make sure you get all the details for the items you're selling / buying / trading to avoid any misunderstandings.
Here we go:

Wanted:

#1 Fidelity printer (US)
#2 Novag Robot (New Zealand)
#3 Mephisto Muchen board (or Exclusive) (just the board) (Brazil)
#4 Fidelity Par Excellence (US)
#5 Fidelity Phantom 6100 (US)
#6 Fidelity Phantom 6100 (Brazil)
#7 Pieces for the Fidelity Mini Sensory Chess Challenger (US)
#8 PC interface + cables for Tasc R30/SB30 (Italy)
#9 Byte XD300 (US)

For sale:
#1 Phantom 6100 - working (no boxes) (US) $700
#2 Mephisto Polgar (complete in the box) (US) [no price set]

I did try to hook up sale #1 with wanted #5 and #6 but I think the asked price for the Phantom is an issue.

Feel free to contact me with with anything related to these items and I can either try to get you in touch with the other party or be the intermediary in the transaction.
I wish success to all of you.

All the best,

Ismenio
