9) Ghost Wolf Tribe -No guild- relapse--- Left Relapse because they werent active in raiding. Was a starting officer in ghost wolf tribe from day one. The guild eventually turned into No guild. Maintained officer status in no guild. Then no guild recently disbanded.

13) I dont have a current raiding guild. I want to join defiant because they have lasted through this servers entire existance. I have been here since day one and have always been impressed by your progression.

17)A quality raider is early for every raid. And if they cant be there, they inform either an officer or the raid leader VIA WoW chat, or in game mail. A quality raider comes prepared with flasks, buff food, and reagents. A quality raider knows to listen to instructions from a raid leader and follow them to the fullest measure. A poor raider lacks all of these prior mentioned qualities. A poor raider doesnt know when vent is to be clear or how to conserve mana. A poor raider is not geared and not willing to take the steps needed to get geared in order to be effective in raids. |

17)What is the difference between a quality raider and a poor raider. Using examples to show that you understand what exactly it takes to be an exceptional player of yours and others classes may help in procuring a trial?
Quality raiders know their class. They are determined and they keep in concentration of what they're doing and they know what to do for specific encounters. A poor raider is the exact opposite of the aforementioned criteria. They don't use the right abilities, the right rotations etc. Not knowing your class isn't the only thing that defines a poor raider though. Raiders that don't contribute positively to the guild, e.g. whining, crying, QQing, are also poor raiders.
It's really easy to differentiate the two. One example I recall is a ret paladin(he was the guild leader btw) who spec'ed wrongly (didn't talent into any mana talents) and as a result he never used any judgments or seals. Examples for the class I play are rogues that don't constantly have slice n dice up and have a really low melee damage output. |

6) Gear is changing day to day. Hopefully will be running heroics/Naxx with you guys this weekend.

8 ) I usually play in the evenings and weekends. My schedule doesn't conflict with the Defiant raiding schedule.
9) I have had a very rich guild history. In vanilla WoW, I was in a very early Molten Core raiding guild along with Philo. We had a number of server firsts, and progressed very quickly through early raid content. During the Burning Crusade I was an officer with Absolute. Many older Defiant members were part of this guild and it was quite successful in getting through early content. We have a significant number of server firsts in Kara. The guild fell short of it's goals when a number of core members left and the guild was forced to disband. After that, I decided to make a guild with just a few core friends and focus more on PvP. Philo, Alopexia and I joined up with GOON towards the end of Arena Season 4, but due to the immaturity level of the guild, we decided to go our separate ways. Now we are searching for a good group of players to tackle new raid content. I have had the privilege of raiding with some Defiant members, and from what I have seen, the guild seems like a fit.

11) My raid experience is pretty diverse. I'm in no way an experienced raider, but have gone through most of BT. I am a mature (but fun) guy and I bring strong leadership skills and a positive attitude that will be important especially during early attempts where wipes are inevitable.

13) I am leaving my old guild since it consisted of Philo, Alopexia and a few friends. We are looking for a larger group to share the WoW experience with. Hopefully since all 3 of us are applying to Defiant that I will continue to play with them in the same guild.
14) I'm sure if you ask around, a lot of Defiant members will have some sort of opinion on me. Cowface would be the best reference, and even Julian if you are still in contact with him.

17) Attitude and commitment. Teaching a player the mechanics of a class or the dynamics of a certain encounter are pretty trivial things to do. (even if sometimes it doesn't seem like it) The most important characteristic of a successful guild is that it's members are commited and have a positive, open and intellectual attitude towards the content and their class. A willingness to learn and master content also helps. There will be many things that I will need to fix with my dps rotation, my timing, and my gear choice, but I feel as long as a raider has the above qualities, these can be overcome quite quickly.

Im currently out of work till middle of november so pretty much anytime atm. However when i return to work I will be unavailable Mon, Wed, Fri till 4pm est.

My previous lvl 70 was a human prot paladin with t6 equiv and full BT clear. Was Main trash tank and main off tank. I am currently in No Guild in which is where my RL friends are currently located.

Im looking for a serious raid guild again.. No guild isnt raidng and when they do its 1/2 pugged. Im a serious play and I strive for perfection whether it be my dps or my utility to the raid. I want to be a part of a progression guild like I was on my pally only not nasty alliance lol.

I was in Dunamis on Garona, GM's quit wow so i left the guild.
was also in Zoi Dia Thanatos on the garona server, left because they raided constantly four days in a row and it got tedious lol

quality ive found is not only judged in performance, but also attendance. as far as performance, taking the time to learn your class and kno it from the inside out, and using what you know to the highest possible ability. always being on and ready for raids prior to raid time. always being prepared i.e. and consumables needed, reagents, etc.
I WOULD LIKE TO ADD*****ZDT is an alli guild on garona, i traded my SWP geared shaman for my undead mage, granted its not the best gear but i can learn my class to the best of my ability and bring my A game 100% of the time.
AND***remember i am coming on this server to play wow with my gf, if she cant join then im not joining....not trying to be rude but yea lol....and not saying she has to raid she jus wants to be in my guild....

I transfered here and joined Destined, which disbanded 2 weeks later. I then joined OoM, great group of guys, had a hic-up with a new member and myself. As I see it, they need this
new pally and they have 2 great locks left if I leave. The point is, I don't want to play the game watching every little thing I do, as I am an officer and my job is to look after
everyone's needs in the guild. It's best I go enjoy the game somewhere's else and let them enjoy it as well.

I have cleared Kara, Mag's, Grull's, ZA, SSC, TK, Hyjal and I am at 7/9 in Black Temple.

I have gotten both Vials and received my ring. I am up to the last quest, Illidan's death.

As I mentioned above, I am willing to be the better man and step away from any further clashes with the new memeber, and being that they do need his class and have 2 great locks left after I leave,
they should be just fine without me.

The only people i know in Defiant are Bam, and the guys I ran Heroic MGT with last Saturday, sorry I am bad with names.

A good raider to me is one that comes prepared with everything his class needs such as a lock would bring Spell dmg food, oil, flask, soulshards. They don't whime because they didn't get loot. They study up on all the fight srats they have not done.
A bad raider would be one thats always late to raids and needs summons all the time. Comes unprepared, and not knowing the strats to any fight. They blame others for their mistakes and wipes. Doesn't do a thing until its raid time and needs flasks made and runs to the AH in need
of pots and food. |
