The a-side is on By Any Other Name, as a Smart Systems track.
I would love them to release Principals Of Motion, the best material of that era by a considerable distance, even better than most of Accelerator I reckon. |

Ah, thank you Mr. Pandemonium and Mr. RONTXO for sharing!!
The "Principals Of Motion EP" is great. One of the best releases from the "Alias-Era".
"Aircut" is nice too, especially the b-side-track.The A-Side reminds me of something from "By Any Other Name".
I wonder if the guys will ever release the Intelligent Communication EP along with Yage Fuzzy Logic EP or so on CD like they did with the Pulse ep´s. |

Oh, well, the versions that I shared here don't sound as the album versions, they are speeded up pretty much...
So, definitely the ripper ripped it on 45 instead on 33... |

The tracklist is largely correct for its time, other than that tedious splitting the first two tracks/'Womb 2' thing. Some of the titles were changed for their use on the Archives series, but an early version of Yage, G Eletro, Max (Original), Everyone In The World and Sitting Around are the names we knew them as for years.
As for Is This Real?, I don't know if that was ever intended as a full track as much as a seguing section, but it ended up on the Archives for completism. It's a nice segue. The sax piece is Womb (or Womb 1, whatever), and Tingler '96 is technically a remix of the old Smart Systems track Tingler (you'll notice a couple of synths appearing), and nothing to do with Quagmire, although it shares some background sounds - in the same way G Eletro/Yashica shares some backing sounds with... is it the end of Glass, or something from the Explosive EP? I can never remember.
So yes, you're mostly correct but the tracklist is also correct.
What always annoys me is why this version of My Kingdom wasn't on the album rather than the My Kingdom + track, which I've never liked, despite Part 1 being my favourite piece of music of all time. The album version needs those synths!
Carlos and Womb are two tracks that haven't made the Archive series yet, along with Somewhere, Tudor Oak, Turned, Bring Me Home, Deep Into Your Subconcious, that unreleased track from the Lifeforms video, a track off the French Live set and probably others. If there ever is an Archive 6 I reckon some of these will be on it. |

| I did, that's why I'm saying - I don't know if FSOL wanted them speeded up for the promo or the dude who ripped the vinyl put it on 45 rpm instead on 33... Does anyone has this original 12" to confirm the speed? |

This is damn awesome.. some of the best tracks they've ever made. The tracklist is way off 'tho, any help with that?
What a gem this is.. =)
This is what I'm getting:
1. Yage ("Hallucinations" -> Archives 1) 2. My Kingdom (Single, extended mix off the EP) 3. Is This Real? -> (?) 4. (some weird sax thing) 5. ? ("..you are destined for great things".. etc.) 6. Psycho Crab 7. Her Face Forms In Summertime (some remix) 8. Yashica 9. (some very different Quagmire remix) 10. Glass 11. Herd Killing (remix) 12. Insides 13. Carlos (i guess, this is a new track to me) 14. Arrived
Am I totally wrong here? |
