The House Amhnell
During this lesson, you will be expected to learn the rules and the layout of the Home, which will be given by tour after your collaring. Also the four reasons for a collar will be gone over in this lesson. It is also imperative that you learn about each Member of the Household and their dislikes.
There is no set guideline of a greeting order, though if there is a Free Man within the House and within your area, then It is He who will be greeted first before any Free Women. Lastly, you do not call other slaves "sister" that is reserved mainly only for those of your blood. You can however shorten their name or just call them by their name.
Where is House Amhnell located
House Amhnell is located within Port Kar, herself and is no ally to those of Tyros or Cos. It is a city that was built by slave labor and had no homestone until after the Fight with Cos and Tyros.
It is important because we have no maps to show you your home, that you visual where everything is as you are taken on a Tour, this is so that you can familiarize yourself to the home and learn where to go if a Free has asked for your service. Also later in your training, you might be asked to take a new slave on their tour to show them how to nagivate the home.
What are the levels of the training
You start off with the intro lesson and you are caged within your kennel to learn the rules of both the home and the slaves. After you have passed the test, and then will be started upon your training as a pleasure slave. You will be belled so that you don't try to escape from the home and allowed free passage through out the house except to My personal Chambers. In total there will be about twenty lessons in all, also the lessons are made for you to go at your own pace.
The Rules
Knowing the slave rules of House Amhnell is of the utmost importance to you. Ignorance of these rules will not serve as an excuse. It is up to you to learn and obey these rules. They are not guidelines for your behavior, they are what is expected of each slave of the House whether owned by the House itself or personally owned. Punishment for failing to obey these rules are at the sole discretion of the free of the House. The punishment might be as mild as a scolding to as severe as the failure to draw air within your lungs (Hint: think sleen food). you can be assured of one thing, punishment is swift when the rules are broken.
The Four purposes of a Collar
There are four purposes to the collar that you wear and in this quote all four are mention and then I will lay out what those four purposes are.

The Four Common Purposes of a collar is:
1. identifies the slave as a slave
2. impresses their slavery upon them
3. Lets their Master identifiy their slave
4. makes it easier to leash the slave.
Intro Lesson Work
1. You need to write a 750 word essay on what it means to be a slave and why is it important to follows the rules of your Master and of your Home.
2. I also need you to write out a tour of the House as if you were taking another slave and showing them where each and every item was within the House.

General Laws
The Leader of the Home is Levana Amhnell. She and a Council will be working to make everything fair for those within the Home.
OOC - Out of Character
OOC is to be kept to a minimum and to PM or out of the home all together if at all possible.
No one is required to give out their MSN, ICQ or any form of messenger unless they wish.
Cybering/Furring - All furring/cybering is to be done in private messages.
NO Dueling. Would think this would not have to be said but seems that is the first argument that is spewed if a person is caught -rest assured you will be caught- is that "I didn't know it was wrong, its not listed in the rules" To be blunt... that's BS... well this is Your one and only warning on dueling. [Dueling is playing more then one active character at the same time, meaning having a slave in home A.. another in Home b or a Free off one place. You play ONE character and one only]
:: Keeping Everyone Informed ::
Any and all incidents of importance that take place within the House Amhnell should be posted upon the House Amhnell Message board Only. This includes but is not limited to... People given guest lodging, any and all disputes between citizens and or visitors as well as any advancement or the misbehavior of city owned slaves. No one wishes their dirt or lives aired across gor like a soap opera so respect our rules and laws or your dispute or discrepancy will be ignored.
We here in House Amhnell like to be kept informed of the activities going on in our home. There is a simple way of doing this by posting and reading the house message board it is there for that purpose not just for slaves to post their chores.
Any and all new citizens be it free or slave are to be posted upon the boards as soon as possible so all knows who they are and are not surprised by the new faces.
Any citizens that have brought guests into the home should post the guests name upon the boards for the same reason as above.
Black font & Ghost Codes
Simply put, its not allowed. If you use black or any other color so dark some cant see it You will be asked ONE time to lighten it or leave.
Any actions or role-play that has even one black font post will be instantly voided without argument and complaint
Ghost codes are accepted here as long as they can be SEEN - points to the black font rule- The name you are on the pull down list with MUST be visible to the other role-players or You may be asked to remove them.
Are the Name you are known by in gor regularly
-in other words coming in simply as "Cloaked and Disguised" [or any variation ] will not gain You entrance into House Amhnell, full tags must be worn, you want to be cloaked and such... ROLE-PLAY it out. Do -NOT- be surprised if the Guards remove Your Cloak though.
Observing Within House Amhnell
The ~O~ cheerio is accepted here. If you wish to observe only, upon entering beg to do so, if granted permission to observe you may be told to simply put
-observer- or name ~o~
in your tags.
Observing means just that. You observe, You don't get involved with the role play, You don't serve [if slave], it is not a free license to be the nightly commentator on what is going on. Questions are kept to PM
**NOTE**
ANY, and is meant ANY information that you gain while granted observer status can not be taken from the room and used for others role-play. To be clear on this. You can NOT come in and observe the room and take what you hear and take it to another person or home and use what you saw for any role-play. It will not be accepted, and role-play of the situation will be void.
Messengers to House Amhnell
All Messengers MUST have Their Gorean role-play name on their tags with a yellow sash. if You enter just as messenger for so and so... or any of that variation, you will be asked ONCE and One time only to fix your tags to your Gorean name with a yellow sash or a mod will be called
You will enter, ask to PM the person the message is for, deliver your message and leave.
Free Women of House Amhnell
Freewomen of House Amhnell are not required veils here, but are required to dress accordingly to their station --ie, a slaver will not dress as formally as say a physician, use common sense and what your caste is to assist in dress-- Avatars are to be kept respectable, when in doubt ask the Ubar if it is acceptable to be worn.
No free man may collar a FW of House Amhnell without due cause either by reason of her submission to him or by being ordered enslaved by the Council after their reviewing of her actions and or behavior.
The principle of "conduct indicating suitability for the collar" deals with conduct by a free woman sufficient to warrant her reduction to slavery. It is commonly applied to fraud, theft, indigence, vagrancy, prostitution, and public indulgence in sensuous dance.
If a free woman submits to be a slave freely to a specific man, and that man refuses the offer, she still shall become a slave, subject to capture by the first person to collar her including the Room leader who may place her in a city collar.
Free Women do not -ever- travel outside of House Amhnell without a Man of the House s to escort them or approved Freeman. The consequences of traveling to unsafe places without escort are severe and swift, this is for Your safety as well as other members of House Amhnell that may very well be at risk while ransoming you back or such and a moment of your carelessness just isn't justifiable cause for this. For this reasons alone we ask that You always travel with en escort.
:: Slaves of House Amhnell ::
Any and all slaves of House be it personal or House slaves are under the jurisdiction of their owners and their owners personal laws and restrictions. If you have questions concerning a slave or their actions please speak with the slave's owner.
Any and all slaves the submit or are captured within House Amhnell will be placed in a House collar, {Owned By House Amhnell} and will expect to stay there until bought or sold.
House collar can be displayed in one of 2 ways. {Owned by House Amhnell} or "property of House Amhnell " this is not your choice.
All inquires to purchase a House slave are to be made to Levana Amhnell and must have her approval before the sale is made.
House slaves are - not - permitted to leave the House Amhnell unless accompanied by a free person.
The property of one who becomes a slave is transferred to the nearest male relative, or nearest relative if no male exists, or to the House Amhnell, or a guardian. Even if the slave gets freed, the property cannot be recovered. If a Master or Mistress dies, his or her slaves pass to his or her heirs or if he has no heirs, to the House Amhnell.
Active possession of a slave is regarded as crucial by the law. If a lost, stolen or runaway slave is taken by another Master, the original Master has only one week to regain his property before legal title passes to the new Master. The slave remains the property of the original Master only for that one week if he does not regain possession.
When a person is collared, it cancels their past. They begin a new life as a slave and may not be held accountable for any crimes or actions that occurred while they were free.
If a free citizen goes missing for an extend period of time (14 days) without informing the home In Character in one way shape or form prior to or during their leave any slaves in there possession will be claimed abandoned by the Council and placed in a House collar. If the free citizen has not returned within 14 days after that the slave will remain in a house collar and will be available for resale.
Any free person may discipline an insolent or errant slave, even one who is in the least bit displeasing. Slaves will only be physically punished and or killed by their owners. Lecture them cage them chain them leave the punishment to their owners. There for any property of House Amhnell is owned by Levana Amhnell and will deal with them as she sees fit. If the actions of a House owned slave justify serious consequences send a log of the action that may warrant a slaves sever punishment and or death to Levana Amhnell. In conclusion, no slave shall be killed or maimed unless clearly directed or subjected by Levana Amhnell.
All slaves within House Amhnell are Trained by a Free Slaver and may have a slave mentor who has been through the program already.
Sexual Usage
Within House Amhnell there are those of white silks - virgin slaves and those of red silks - non virgin slaves. Those seeking to take the virginity of white silk slaves must speak with the Council. Red silk slaves my be used by members free of cost for non members their cost is 1 copper.

Any slave entering House be it by the way of willing submission or capture will be placed within a House collar until which time they are bought and sold. All slaves of a House collar are property of the Owner of the House, and is Hers to do with as She pleases

All house slaves can use first person unless told to speak like a slave then that slave will revert to thrid speech until their punishment is over.
Begging entrance is not needed though all slaves must beg permission to ghost and to leave. Leaving without permission will bring punishment upon your return. In cases of RTI ( Real Time Interruptions) post you have an RTI and leave upon returning apologize for leaving so abruptly. No explanation is ever needed for RTI though do not abuse to get out of chores or the sort. Leaving without permission will bring punishment upon your return.
If no free is about there is not need for the 3 post ask to leave, when you wish to leave just RP yourself going back to your slave kennel or owners chamber don't just abruptly leave it is not in the spirit of House to do such. We ask that you do not just leave show some creativity and close your roleplay.
As a slave of House Amhnell your collar can be light as a feather of heavy and the mountain its all of what you make of it upon Gor, Yes gor is not fear not always fun but Gor is Gor.
All new slaves will be given slave wine. it is considered all have taken slave wine so do not play that you are pregnant UNLESS in script you were given breeding wine! It is very rare for a slave to be breed outside a breeding house and only with a breeding thralls in which any child born of that slave would be taken and sold to a slavers house not left with the slave who bore the child. In essence no free man would have a slave bare their child because that child would automatically be a slave and would disgrace the honor of the free man he would have to free the slave and take her as his mate/companion.
A slaves may not travel away from House Amhnell. No slaves are allowed to travel without a Free escort and NO NPC! How can a Home Grow that Has no one in it. And how can we keep our slaves safe allowing them to venture out unsupervised. Think about it how can a slave get from House Amhnell to the plains to visit a wagon camp someone had to take them, use common sense please.
If you will not be in House Amhnell for 4 or more days in a row or if you time is limited and you are only about a few times a week. You are expected to inform a free of Tyros or leave a message upon the message boards so you will not be taken as missing or a runaway.
When entering House Ahmnell, a slave will greet within their area, if there is none within the area you are at, then simply a ooc can do but be sure to greet the Free Men first.
House slaves always have the last words in any disagreement they are "yes Master/Mistress" it is just that simple.
:: Chores and Tasks Rules ::
All House slaves must post at least 3 tasks a week, One large task such as a full meal serve or dance as well as 2 smaller ones such as several position you have done in the course of a day or a drink serve. Note these are not chores they are tasks to show the training staff how you are improving and maintaining your current training level.
Reminder chores and tasks are to be cut and pasted in full with the timestamp and posted upon the chores board.
If a slave of House Amhnell is assigned a task or chore it does not go towards the optional chores or the required tasks.
The maximum chores permitted to be done by a house slave a week is 5 for more information or questions please see the House Boards.
Before you play, you learn, train and earn your keep by being pleasing. Enough said.
Gorean Related Slave Rules
A slave must always ask permission to keep, eat, wear or use anything given to her/him.
A slave will refer to all Free Men as "Master" and all Free Women as "Mistress". All reference to Them will be capitalized (You, He, She, They). If Gender is unknown, greet as Master until corrected. When corrected, beg forgiveness.
When serving, a slave will not greet nor acknowledge messages privately or publicly until the serve is completed. The slave's attention is on the Free being served until released or permission to speak or greet has been given by the Free.
Stay away from gossip. Even the slave's opinions are owned by the Master/Mistress, as with all of a slave's thoughts. If the Owner wishes it, He/She may ask for it.
A slave's two main duties are "exquisite beauty and absolute obedience." If a slave is in a bad mood or doesn�t feel well, ask permission to leave or don�t come into the Home. A slave should be pleasing in all ways at all times no exceptions.
Remember you own nothing saver what your Owner gives you, not even your name or your own life. Things can be easily be taken away for the slightest infraction.
Never touch money or a weapon with your hand, both are punishable by death. Just because you may see some ill-trained slave doing it does not mean any trained here are allowed to do it. Set an example and be the very best slave you know how to be.
Do not enter yourself into the conversation of a Free if you are invited to speak, fine if you have an uncontrollable desire to speak ask permission but do no just begin speaking.
Slave Behavior Rules
Within House Amhnell, there will be a slave pecking order, but as to how it will work. Although The Owner of the House is ultimately the person who is told what is going within the house and will put a stop to anything that she feels is wrong
There will be NO fighting or bickering among the slaves Or Jealousy. It will be taken to the Owner of the House and punishment shall be meted out.
House Amhnell shows no favorites be it personal slave or house slave, do the crime pay the time no matter who you are you should have enough respect and common sense to know how to act properly.
Attention getters will not be tolerated. slaves that are constantly being hurt doing chores or such, will not be looked on well. slaves are property, they have no right injuring themselves or taking their own lives in their hands. ((if You try taking Your own life it is not Valid))
Whining, complaining and the poor poor pitiful me thing don't work here your treatment is in direct result of your actions act like a proper slave and be rewarded with attention and all that a slave desires. Act like a sulk, selfish child you will called on it and do not except to get attention from it you will be punished and set on a strictly chores diet until your attitude improves.
As above the same goes for subby princess' and ignorant full of themselves slaves you think you can get away with it think again. There is no such thing as a princess or a sub on gor this isn't burger king you do it the UBAR'S WAY.
A slave's objective is to sexy, sensual and alluring not trashy use your head please!
Insolent slaves die quickly on Gor so get over it, be pleasing, or be gone.
If you are in training and are white silks keep your modest do not kiss, lap or get used by or with any other than your Owner if you do you can be killed.
Do not be lazy always make yourself, your actions, and your serves beautiful they reflect upon House Amhnell and your Owner. If there are none that need serving busy yourself cleaning or cooking or doing something creative that makes yourself of use to the Houses and not just sitting idol not doing anything. Do not use macros or power tools (cut and paste) ever they are deemed the sign of a lazy slave. The only exception to this would be dancing. Do not be afraid to ask fellow slaves for help but please do not steal serves directly from another slave part of the joy of being a kajira is personalizing your own serves.
Role-play Slave Rules
This is a Role-playing room so come in have fun and role Play Real Life is hard enough do not make Gor like it.
If you are unsure of something don't do it or say it then wonder if it was wrong ask a more experienced slave first. If you cannot ask a fellow slave then ask a Free Person as a last resort remember that your collar bears the Honor of both them and their home do not dishonor it by acting before thinking.
If you wish to speak to a Free in private ask in public first for permission to whisper in His/Her ear wait for their reply, thank them then proceed with the whisper. |
