Okay, well, I'm your headmistress (I like to state the obvious ) Welcome to Hogwarts! To get sorted, just post a new thread. I ask you not mention any of the original house qualities (brave, sly, smart, loyal, ect.) as it will result in just the opposite of what you want. Before you start with all that, I'm going to do a bit of, erm, announcing:
1) Students can be professors.
2) There are four major positions throughout the houses: Head Boy, Head Girl, Prefect (2 per house), Head of House and House Admin. There is also, if you can prove yourself to be worthy, a good role in HGD (house graphics designer)
3) The current semester is 1960-1961. Semesters change once every season.
4) Remember! The year is 1960! No skateboards, scooters, television (no electric items in general as of the fact we are at Hogwarts) or fads not avaliable back then.
5) We aren't related to official Warner Brothers, Bloombury or JK Rowling enterprises and companies. We are just a fan site wanting to dish out the "full experience".
6) Dolls are permitted in signatures, but, to improve the graphic nature of the site and stay true-to-Hogwarts-life, no tops that bear belly buttons, tank tops (spaghetti straps included), strapless tops or in general modern-day wear are allowed. Girls must wear the official school uniform (the may, however, wear boy's pants instead of the skirt) and boys must wear the school uniform also (you can put a skirt on it, if you really want). The only exception to this rule is during balls.
7) Asking-out threads can get annoying, so I ask that you confine them to Owls (private messaging). Yet another exception is when a ball is taking place.
Get it? Got it? Good. Now off to be sorted! |

OOC Room / Aura Shop / Aura? |

I'm not sure how many people here know this, but this is what 'Aura' is and how to spend it.
When you either impress/amuse someone or really tick them off, they'll Hex you or Bewitch/Charm you. You can spend your Bewitch/Charm Aura on many things...like siggies, club certificates, broomsticks, books and your wand.
Your aura doesn't disappear, but I do record the Aura you spent so that you cannot spend it again. The more Aura you earn, the better items you can buy.
Teachers are not paid in aura. They are actually paid with the joy of teaching new things :p
To earn Aura, greet newbies, be nice to people, ect. I cannot help it if people Hex you. Some people feel like being mean and zap you for no reason in particular. No body but the assaulter knows who preformed such a naughty trick...so don't go zapping! |
