INFINITE SPACE V2.0 IS NOW OPEN!
... which is my subtle way of telling you that the new site is up and running at long last. Once again, I apologise for my recent absence, but I hope that one look at the new page will convince you I've been busy! The url is
and click on the brand new IS button.
Now for the bad news: I don't have any means of porting characters across from this forum to the new one. Rest assured, however, that this forum will remain for the forseeable future for reference purposes, and any characters or stories you wish to continue with are more than welcome on the new site.
The game was moved for a multitude of reasons, but I am confident that you'll all like the change, and that IS will go from strength to strength. My only request is that you email me and give me your impressions of the site - it's all valuable stuff!
Thanks for sticking with me, and with IS. Now get out there and change the universe!

Hi everyone
I apologise for the ominous silence of late - I know I'm overdue some posts, but my excuse is that I've been slaving over a hot PC crafting the new site. Yes, still - it's taking a bit longer than I thought, but it's looking good!
I'll get posts written up tonight or tomorrow and get everything up to date. Ah, this writing for a living is hard work!

So, since nothing seems to be going on, I'm just going to say that my audition went really well, and hopefully (a big hopefully) I got the part that I wanted.
In other news, Raven, have you been a Randy Newman fan for long? I love his stuff! |

| Just wanted to say sorry for posting once then disappearing. I've been busy with the Indoor Track season here in good ole Pennsylvania. As we speak I'm thinking up another post, hopefully to get it out tonight. |

Three hours later, Harper and Meagan were seated again on the sub-orbital transfer shuttle that had ferried them to MR-17. As they departed the asteroid settlement, Harper leaned back in his chair and breathed deeply. “Well, Miss Stewart,” he asked with a small smile. “What did you think of my asteroid?”
Meagan settled back in her seat. “Well, if I said I truly understood even a quarter of what I saw and heard today, I’d be telling a lie. However, I found it impressive and, between the processing facility itself and the Adam Project, somewhat intimidating.” She tilted her head with a smile. “This is probably a very foolish thing to say, but I think I was most impressed by the color of the natural stone quarried from the asteroid. I believe it has the most amazing color and visual texture I have ever seen in stone and I found myself wondering if it would possible to bring it down to the planet.”
(Reply, Buchanan)
She laughed softly. “Very selfishly I was thinking of myself and visualizing Dreamscape Gallery structured from it. I can just picture a simple but elegant building constructed from that rich red-gray stone with the deep green of the tress behind it.” Her expression took on a far away, thoughtful aspect. “It would be particularly lovely at night with soft, concealed ground lights shinning on it. If it were built near the shore of the lake, the reflection on the water in the evening would be breath-taking.”
She fell silent for a few minutes, allowing her imagination to complete the picture in her mind; then she blinked and turned her attention back to Harper with a slightly embarrassed smile. “There I go again; off on one of my tangents. You’re going to start thinking I make a habit of doing that.”
(Reply, Buchanan)
“Well, to return to your original question, I’ve enjoyed the day very much and I’m very happy that you invited me to join you. I’ve read about AIs of course, but this is the first time I’ve actually experienced one. What kind of plans do you have for Adam once he’s complete?” She paused a moment. “If you can tell me, that is, without compromising the project.”
(Reply, Buchanan)
“I know there is a great deal of competition in that particular field,” she replied with a light shrug. “And I’m also aware that Ms Crier was not pleased with my presence there today.”
(Reply, Buchanan)
“Oh,” she laughed, “Women have a sixth sense about such things.” Then she gave him a mischievous grin. “She also found the opportunity, while you were otherwise occupied, to inform me that I was not the first to try and impress you with my mind and that I was wasting my time. She said you would see through my charade by the end of the day and send me packing just as you have all the others.”
(Reply, Buchanan)
