I just talked to who I think was Josh on the phone. My friends and I called a pay phone outside of the Chinese Theater to talk to people standing in line for the new Star Wars movie. I never got the name of the person I was talking to, but he directed us to weezerandgeezer.com, which is how I found this board. I do know that he likes Chuck Palahniuk, grew up on a farm, and would eat shit for a thousand dollars.
Just thought I'd say hey from the college girls from Missouri. |

I had the same exact reaction as you, dude. Pretty pictures, good performances, some stand-out scenes, but....I just didn't get into it. I didn't feel anything for the characters, and as a result found myself not caring much what was happening, even as I loved the visuals all the way.
There hasn't been much good lately, until I saw "End Of The Century: The Story Of The Ramones" today, which is easily the most kick-ass movie I've seen all year (usurping "Kill Bill: Vol. 2"). I guess it helps to be a Ramones fan though.
Dude, have you (or Josh, if he's still out there) seen "Donnie Darko"? It's such a cool movie, and the Director's Cut (that's currently out in theaters) made it even better. |

| Checked out Hero yesterday and although it was a good looking flick with a strong story, I just didn't get into it. |

I highly recommend "Garden State", "Open Water" and "Donnie Darko: The Director's Cut". All three are awesome.
I'm checking out "Hero" today - hoping it kicks as much ass as everyone says it does. |

| I jost got back from my vacation. We went to Cozumel and went to Chankannab Park and swam with the dolphins. TAR 3 did that in episode 2 and thought it was cool. |

I fucking hated it. A huge slap in the face to both monsters and the (good) movies they were in. And a movie with Alien and Predator that's PG-13? Absolute bullshit. Looks like the days of R-rated mainstream movies are basically over, and that's sad.
Dude, you should check out "Collateral" and "Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle" - THOSE are entertaining. |

Went and saw AVP yesterday. After reading a bunch of "Yahoo User" reviews who all pretty much gave AVP "F"'s across the board, I was prepared for the worst.
I went in their expecting a 2 out of 10, so with expectations that low I was pleasantly surprised with a 5 out of ten. Horrible dialogue, d-list actors and cliche plot devices aside, there was some decent entertainment intertwined with all the rancid bullshit.
And it speaks volumes for how retarded the MPAA is seeing with use of words like "fuck and shit" and the intense acts of violence this movie only merited a pg-13 rating. But if it had a glimpse of sexuality or a drug reference, guaranteed to be an R rating. It's like Bush himself is the head of the MPAA. |

Alright, so after Dennis and Erika got eliminated (what a pity) I started liking Colin and Christie, and now they're killing it. I like Colin a lot more than Christie though, he's just so intense. Also, he seemed like the only player that could actually speak Spanish instead of putting on a crappy accent to make it sound like he knows the language
I hope they stay around. |

Yeah I thought it was just ok too. Great moments and scenes, but pretty weak overall.
"Harold and Kumar go to White Castle" was hilarious. Way better than a movie like that has any right to be. |
