2 Morris Commercial T2 Tonner trucks, in pieces, plus LOADS of spares, abandoned project.
1937 T2 bought as a rolling chassis some years back plus most of the parts, inc engine and gearbox for a 1934 T2 van which had been cut down to make a tractor unit. The ’37 truck needed extensive chassis repairs and was stripped and some work carried out. The stripdown was fully documented and photographed, and all the parts bagged and labelled. I have now lost interest and have to be practical and cut my losses. The intention was to repair the chassis and to rebuild the 34 chassis at the same time, using the ’37 as a pattern, (all the chassis components for the ’34 are there), and to use the cab timbers of the ’37 as patterns for the ’34. (big aspirations eh?)

The springs have been refurbished and there are 2 new sets of kingpins and head gaskets, one new front wing to correct pattern and patterns for the rear mudguards, along with a third complete engine and gearbox, another gearbox, 2 engine blocks, 1 head and 1 sump. Several radiators and cowls, many wheels and tyres. Front and rear axles and springs. Professionally made wheeled “dolly” for the chassis to be rebuilt on, chassis jig, “dollies” for the cab and engine/gearbox. Lots of other spares too numerous to list.

Parts manuals for T1,T2 and T3, plus lots of other documentation and photos of other trucks for reference.

There are sufficient parts to rebuild most of the ’37 truck and to make a rolling chassis for the ’34.

I estimate overall value to be around £5k and I’m looking for best offer over £3k

For more info, to view everything at Thorne, Doncaster, or for photos or a full list of spares, give me a ring, Dave Smith on 01405 816 800, or email on dave@customkitchens.co.uk
