Looks like I have my summer project in the OR. A 96 Summit torque monster 670
Top end of engine needs some attention, other wise looks like lots of routine maintenance and a good cleaning. Might have to give the pipe a little attention.
Green & Gold will be happy to know I will likely spill a little of than dang green liquid on the shop floor.

Break the bad news to Mrs Bones about riding on that rumble seat?    Might be more than green on the floor.

Did Ski Doo carry on with the “auto elevation adjustment” carb system they were advertising with the early Summits?    Don't suppose you’ll  likely be gaining a few thousand feet of elevation on your typical southern Saskatchewan trail rides.

I do like the color.  Kinda  a modern  John Deere look.

What's a professional cylinder bore go for up north these days?

G&G, don`t think there will be rumble seat riding on this unit  A very, very nice 2 - up seat also came with sled. I am contemplating installing the new 2-up seat on a Formula SL ( vegas) as I have e-start and reverse on that one, just seems the 2-up is more suited to that sled and the single seat from vegas would go on the Summit ? time will tell.
Auto elevation / HAC ( high altitude compensator )….The last sled with that system is the 99 Summit 500. For 99 Summit there was the 500 /S chassis, 670 HO / S chassis but it had DPM ( digital performance management) and the 600 in the new ZX chassis also with DPM.
It also worked for change in temp, so even though it will most likely stay on the flat land the temp adjust is nice. Many of them systems have crapped out by now and no parts available for them. I am not sure if this one works, I suspect not So then I just jet as a Formula Z 670 etc.

Ya think I should stick a couple JD decals on it doo you ??

I sent off a couple 503 jugs for boring about 1.5 yrs ago, cost $55.00 Cad / hole. I believe to a very reputable shop.

Nice! I've got a mint two up seat with the backrest if anyone is looking, although I am sure shipping would be a killer....
