Is it OK to have the Mikuni carbs at such an angle on my FA 440. I lowered the floats slightly to keep the fuel from running out the overflows but are these carbs designed to run with a low float level?
It would be nice to find some mikuni carb flanges that are angled. or maybe have something made?

Sometime in the past 7 years I came across a Mikuni spec sheet that said the max recommended mounting angle is 7 degrees.  Tried to find that data today and couldn't put my hands on it.......
The 73-75 F/A TNTs tillys are tilted somewhere between 19 and 22 degrees.
My concern has been that at that angle the mains might not stay below the fuel level in the float bowl under high demand/bumps.  But I've certainly seen sled (not running) that have had em installed without an adapter.
