Cool. It will help people for sure. Amazing what you find inside some engines. Imagine the heat retention with all that mouse nesting in there. Let alone the potential for an engine fire.

Great job on the videos. I wish I had them to view when I did my first couple of engines.

For sealing the case use Locktite 518 anaerobic gasket maker.  The same product is also availible under the Permatex name, their product number is PX 51813. I've used both, they're identicle

Permatex number 2 motoseal.

''For two and four cycle engines. Solvent-based bond fully seals within 20 minutes. Forms a tough flexible bond that is highly effective on irregular and uneven joint surfaces. Resists gasoline and other damaging fluids. Withstands temperatures 350°F (177°C) continuous, 400°F (204°C) intermittent.''

Thanks ... but not done yet ... I will be doing the timing on it with a dial gauge ... I have already done the carb so I won't be adding that part to a video, and there is plenty of great info out there already about Tilly's.

Very nice!  Good tips on greasing the seals and oiling the base gaskets!

Excellent video!  I picked up a couple things I can do differently.  If you get the 2 Ski Doo pullers, then you do not need to pull out the flywheel bolts and possibly booger them up getting them out or back in.

Regarding timing, I found an easier way than having to unscrew the stator plate and try to time that way.  First set the stator plate in about the middle.  Tighten it.  Never need to go back to it.  then, Install flywheel.  Tighten the nut. Never take that off again.

Time it in each cylinder with the light or buzzer and dial indicator, but adjust via the points for each cylinder.

You can get them right on instead of a .020 variance.  Use "INDIRECT" numbers if timing thru the spark plug hole with dial indicator.  You do not need a feeler gauge either doing it this way.  (but if you check with feeler gauge, you will find that points are usually w/i the .014-.018 variance.  I now time all mine this way.

I saved myself a whole bunch of trial and tribulation doing it this way.  You can time both sides in 20 minutes total.

Someone sent me a PM wanting to know how to upload videos to youtube ... and wanted me to respond via an email address he left in the PM. Well ... I did just that, and later ... the message bounced back to me saying that the address did not exist.

well ... by that time I had already erased the original PM, so I had no way to get a message back to him.

The only answer I had on the subject was for him to search youtube for a tutorial explaining how to upload your videos ... that's what I did ...
