A friend of mine has a 15x114 wide window track that is in very good shape to use. He wants to put it in a 65 olympique. Are the wide window sprockets a direct fit on a standard 15 in track drive shaft, and are the sprockets a direct fit to a standard 1965 drive shaft? Thanks, Rick

One of my Elans has a wide window, aftermarket Dayco track in it, works fine without any issues wandering in the sprocket holes or anything like that. He should be fine.

Agreed with Eric - I have had several with the wide windows.  The sprockets sit on the outside of those wide windows, which is what you need to keep these old sprocket driven tracks in place.  I am dooing up a 66 right now with one of these tracks (dayco).  If you have good sprockets (not the ones it came with from new) then he will be totally fine.

That Dayco track on mine came on the rustiest machine I have ever seen. Really, the track, chain case and guts, bogie frames, axles, link plates, one spindle and tie rods were about all I used off that sled!

The only thing I can figure is the track must have been replaced shortly before the neglect started, and it some how survived!

I agree, the wide window 114" tracks work perfectly well with the narrow sprockets. I believe the OEM tracks are a slight bit narrower from outside to outside of windows compared to the Dayco. So the OEM stays centered slightly better, but no problem to use the Dayco.
