what was the difference between the late (79) oly 340's and the tnt/everest 340?  Both 343 Fan, same pistons, different exhaust.. and different mukuni setup.  Is that all?  HP differences?

You are basically correct oly_man. Engines are the same for Olympic and Everest. Just the different exhaust. They both ran VM-30 carbs but jetting is different due to the exhaust.
This is just a guess based some what on earlier Ski-Doo/Rotax from when they published HP.
I have always figured the 75-79 Oly 340 at about 25 HP and the Tnt/Everest at ~28 HP due to exhaust diff.
