Part number 405-4008...the primary clutch bearing which rides between the two pulley halves.  Was this number changed up at some point and is it still available from ski-doo?

thanks a mil

Hi Joe Oly
I am not sure if it is still available through Ski Doo but I think you are looking for bearing #NSK 60/280.  I had that written down somewhere.  Not sure that's correct however.
BUT, Kimpex also has/had this bearing available.  It is Kimpex number 04-166. I bought one from my local distributor a few yrs ago.  I think the bearing measures 28.5 x 52 x 15mm.  I have that bearing hanging on the wall in my garage. I can check on it later if necessary.  I bought it probably 6 years ago and still haven't installed it. Shame on me.

I just googled it and it looks like Al's Snowmobile Parts Warehouse has one for $8.00.  Description says it is a 6205 bearing with 1" center.
Now that I'm remembering things better..... that is exactly where I purchased mine. Not from my local complex's distributor.

Thanks DooER,  You are correct on the I.D of 28.5, which rounds out to 1 1/8th inch.  I actually purchased the 6205 with the one inch bore, it is too small, that one is for the 399.  According to the parts book, which does not specify dimensions or industry number, the 28.5 fits the 775, 640, and 335.  I'll call Ingle's tomorrow and see what they come up with.
