Just got the numbers off my '63 RD-8's motor,wondering if it is the original.
motor #-1178149
Bohrg-69mm
Hub-66mm
VH=247ccm N= 7PS
bei 3000 ulmin
What does that all mean? Thanks hotdoo

Bohrg = Bore

Hub = Stoke

VH = Variable Displacement

N =7PS is Metric for 7 horsepower
at
bei 3000 ulmin (3000 PRMs)

Forgot to add, I'm 99.9% sure that motor is original.  I've seen a lot of 1965s that engine ID #s starts with 120.  117 is a lot earlier.

One the old Bombardier Museum web site (very confusing on navigating around) they had a sub-section of collector's resources where you could find out if the frame ID and the engine ID matched.

The new web site they took 99% of the collector's resources out.  Bummer!

However, I've had good luck with this link for info:
