I picked up a clean original Elan Blizzard. Problem is it looks like it was parked after it had a clutch issue. Did the Elan Blizzard run the Blizzard clutch or something else? I have some broken fins and the belt guard is missing so i'm assuming there was a belt blow out. What did the elan blizzard use a belt guard. I would think the same as an Elan but I've actually never seen an Elan blizzard in person before. Id post pictures but photobucket isn't working for me

Elan blizzard 246 motor was fitted with a spin-on splined '71 Blizzard clutch. A standard Bombardier clutch will work but the blizzard clutch has a higher engagement rpm that really allows the elan to fly. I can't recall but the clutch guard was plastic with maybe a rivetted metal plate for re-enforcement?
