hey there ..
.. dunno whether you guys remember me, but I did post some shortflicks of mine about 2 years ago 
anyway .. since about a year I ve been working on my first 90min flick and finally made it to make the first teaser:

its set in a pa setting and I am doing this only with a couple of friends in my free time, mean its still a long way to go .. hope you like it anyway.

I tried. Find it a bit boring in a way. Prefer this one, probably only in German language, unfortunatly:

It's less about "Playing", more about "stories from the wasteland" or sometimes "stories from around the bunker". Seemingly, a little society has found a place to be. All you do is take missions: Mission A) is always easy, just travel somewhere and come back, Mission B) includes fighting. You don't actively do so, you just gotta have strong enough weapons and armors. If you loose, you just return to the bunker and wait untill health is up again. Then take the next mission or do some work to earn water or experience. If you're into the German language (please note, I'm no german guy), it's pretty entertaining to read about the missions and their outcomes. It's like the only thrill I've had so far. |

So, folks, I can only recommend this trilogy, wholeheartly. I feel like its worth the effort to go throught the first two volumes just to end up with the third book. It's really suffocating, cruel and everything. Starts great...
In the first volume, it's more like THE ABYSS (minus the moral bullshit, minus aliens and militaries) meets ehm ROBOCOP (?), the second is more about how in a future world, a corporation might be trying to prevent the spreading of a fossilized 'virus' that has come to the surface, out of the ocean's deepest pits. How do you do prevent that? Well, they burn the diseased ones, job of "Joykill" Achilles Desjardins, whose employer messed around in the guy's brains to paralyse all his feelings of guilt. Problem is, his lack of a conscience leads to other problems. Think SHODAN from the PC game SYSTEM SHOCK :-)
So, third book is about the folks that triggered the spreading of said 'virus'. They're hiding in the ocean. Some survivors on the mainland know who's responsible, these are the reason those people had to find a really effective hideout underwater. Some half-human-half-cyborg-divers ("Rifters") also live close to them. Story starts 5 years after the spreading, two rifters are diving up to the ocean surface, tracking down signs of life. "London is quiet now, there's no signs of life from west-coast of canada anymore, no signals from anywhere". Now, some have travelled to the land to examine its state. Some survivors there are warlords and perverts, cities are locked up to prevent further damage etc.
Great, sick stuff. |

Jeremiah is cult Belgian comic book, 35 volumes come out since 1979, and author (Herman Huppen) is still writting/drawing new volumes. Some sources claim that it was main inspiration for Mad Max trillogy. There was also a series Jeremiah that ran from 2002-2004 that has no similaritis to the comics, except for PA scenario and names of two main characters. The plot of comic books is set in few years in the future. After the racial war in USA between whites and blacks, the government unleash the virus that tears the world apart. The civilization now turned backwards, only 10 million of people are alive. The world is anarchy and full of people that are just fighting for their survival. The main character is Jeremiah, young man that is (in the beginning) not used to this kind of life, and he then meets Kurdy, a survival type of man that is fighting his whole life (when he was a kid his father beat him up). They are the best friends even though they don't like each other but they can't survive one without each other. There are various characters in the comics such as Sharita - suicadal person, Alex - torturer, Lena "the rich girl"...
